Man Vs Tech: The World No One Wants

Chapter 1

           It was a gloomy night in New York City, America. On that dark night, there was one spot that lit up. It was Dr. Steven's lab, where hard scientists worked without rest. On this particular night, there were 46 members in the lab, including Dr. Steven. They were working on a new project. This project was given to them by a millionaire named Gale Finley. He was only 22 but the head of many important industries as well. Gale wasn't a very outgoing person. He was private and wouldn't accept any interviews. He would also always stay in his enormous 15 000 sq ft house. This man was actually a very good person. He would constantly spend a lot of time working on ideas to improve our world. The reason Gale was private though, was because he was extremely scared someone would try to copy him, or even worse, find out about his dark secret!

           Gale's current plan to improve the world was to introduce robots. Robots that would keep our globe clean, help catch criminals, they would help in businesses and many more. Gale thought nothing could go wrong with such a brilliant idea. And so, he told the genius scientist Dr. Steven, to build him an army of waterproof, graphene robots. Dr. Steven obviously didn't think it was possible, as he had no experience whatsoever with robots. But because the cash he would get was a lot, he put his best men at work and worked on the project. Yet after 1 year of trying, he barely made any progress. And when he was about to give up, he had an idea. "Why not connect it to a computer, and use code to build it!" He was extremely confident about his idea and worked without rest. 18 months later, he had completed 1 programmed humanoid robot. They had a large party to celebrate their success. Making more robots were easy after this, because all they had to do was copy the first one. They weren't working as hard and taking large breaks. Not working hard means careless mistakes. They had finished the army and presented it to Gale happily. They had received their cash and happily spent it. Gale was getting ready to present it to the world through a large meeting. But what he didn't know that one of the scientists had carelessly made a large mistake. And it was going to haunt him.
