A cacophony of sounds
Clanking of cutlery on china
Clinking of wine glasses, a toast
Champagne to wash down
The stereotypical jokes
Small chops and dessert
To cover the half-hearted
Hollow laughter,
Disharmonious symphony
The party in full swing,
You, seated at the left wing
It is a house
warming cocktail party
You see it all,
as perspicuous as nature it self
Burning hatred
ensconced with guile smiles
Can an elephant
conceal its footprints?
They struggle
to put up a good act
A violent storm looming
Over a thatched house
Will it stand the test of time?
Only if he could see,
You say to yourself,
Brows furrowed
At the malevolence
That shrouds our heart

Black Lines on White Parchment
PoetryDelve into a collection of motley poems ranging from politics to nature and the society at large. A spontaneous flow of rich emotions compacted into lines and verses. P.S still a work in progress😊🖋🖌
