Chapter Twelve

"You're making a scene." Hailey stated without looking at Julliane.

"No, I won't let go until we make it to your classroom." And until I make you mine. Julliane sweetly replied yet didn't said the last part. Now, many students see them looking like shocked.

"You should go. You can't get anything like this. Not even from me." She removed its hands that was enclosed to her arm.

"Why? Does it make you scared?", she asked and look fixedly on Hailey's eyes. Julliane wants to say something but this is not the right time. However, Hailey avoided her gaze and leaving her behind.

"I'm not scared." Hailey said calmly that only Julliane could hear.

"I know. I'm just teasing you." she just listened to her and never said anything until they got near a door.

"Go on. Leave me here." She said before she goes inside a room. And a moment of silence when she entered. People look at her with confused look.

"How come she's close with Julliane Clarke?" Hailey heard them murmurs but she just quietly sat on the chair and plugged in her earphones.

After her morning class ended, she quickly get her things up and headed to her home.

"Hailey!" Her mother gently hugged her.

"Mommy?" Instead of being in joy, she was more surprised that she saw her parents come home earlier than its expected date of arrival.

Her mother chuckled before she said "We're just anxious about you. Lately, we heard that your sulking in your own room."

"No. I'm not." Hailey defensed to herself." She saw her mother's expression changed.

"You sure? Because the Hailey we see right now is not her we know." That made Hailey jolted, she was convinced she can't argue anymore.

"Well, my feet started to ache. So, how about we eat lunch with your father."

"I'm planning to introduce you officially as my successor." Her dad stated while slicing its steak.

"What!?" She almost shouted at him.

"My princess you must. Everyone under our rule are questioning your actions. They trying to provoke me that you're not suitable in the position." He explained and put smile on its face.
Her mother placed her hand on its husband's. They know how much its difficult for their daughter to accept it. But, there's no one in their bloodline that are satisfying more than their own offspring.

"We can't hide you from the public forever. You have to confront them. Show them you can do it." He continued.

"Next week. Prepare yourself." He said as he fixed its tie. On the other hand, Hailey stared at his parents. She can't even eat properly. Now, she has to decide on choosing between her family or Samantha.
