Nova's POV

It was the day of my coronation, today I would be crowned Queen of the Night and I would rule over everything. Possibly could take away the mating duty from my sister Luna, she doesn't do a good job of it anyway. I stood looking into the mirror at my dress thinking about how everything would be perfect, my parents were apart of the High Council and suggested every day for me to find a prince to carry out our legacy. I never listened if I were to find someone it would be by the hand of my sister and she did not have good taste.

A knock came to the door.

"Yes?" I responded, uncontrollably letting out a smile knowing it was time.

"Your Highness it is time to begin the ceremony." I heard the voice of my good friend and advisor Elias.

"You know Elias you may come in." I disregarded what he said and a second later the door was open and stood a very ravishing Elias.

"Nova, darling, you look elegant as usual." He nodded at my long jewelled white gown before offering his arm to escort me down to the ballroom. I gladly took it and we began to walk the halls while a few maids behind me carried the end of the dress.

"And you look cleaner than usual, let's begin, shall we," I said more of a statement rather than a question and removed my arm from his and began to take confident strides but slowed down before turning the corner where a grand set of double doors stopped my view from seeing the crowd.

There would be wolves as my father was the first werewolf and the Werewolf King, stars from all over the galaxy since my mother invited her star friends. My sister had a few guests but we both lived on the moon so I knew pretty much everyone she did, apart from the people she'd pair together as mates. Security was well as it usually is but a bit tighter since we do not want any interruptions, especially from the rogues. I could feel anger radiate from my wolf because up here compared to earth they were ruthless and murdered villages and wiped packs out without leaving a single trace.

I let out a soft sigh trying to regain the confident composure I held mere moments ago. Our usual guard Arthur wasn't at his post in front of the doors like he always is which made me slightly frown but dismissed it as a bathroom break. I turned to Elias who had a bright smile on his face as he'd been waiting for me to be crowned longer than I've been alive. He gave me a curt nod which meant that it was time.

I could hear my father speaking loud and clear from the top of the stairs.

"Please rise and welcome our future queen that will rule over the nations of the sky!"

The doors were thrown open and everyone was staring me with smiles, some fake some real but I didn't care. I was going to be queen. The applause made everything seem so surreal as I walked down the stairs. I saw my mother and sister cheering from the top of the room, I shared pleasant smiles with everyone before stepping onto the throne stage.

I stood in front of everyone watching as they seated themselves after they finished my father began a speech and I simply nodded and agreed with what he was saying as Elias taught how this speech would go over hundreds of times. Next, we finally got to the best part.

"Today I get the honour of crowning one of my beautiful, courageous and generous daughters making her your queen." He said before turning to me, a servant came with a pillow covered with a velvet cloth hiding the precious gems that would be passed down unto me.

"Nova Persei, daughter of Silas Pegasi and Bellatrix Persei, place your right hand on your chest and recite the Proclamation of Night."

I inhaled deeply and then began, "I, Nova Persei pledge my allegiance to the moon and stars. I swear to protect the creatures of the day and night. To look over the walking beings of the earth so forth."
