Chapter 12

" Like what? " Mike asks. 

" She's not a toy, don't play with her, " I comment. 

" Wow, she's not a toy. Don't play with her, that's so true, " Logan comments. 

" It is, my mom has raised my brother's to be respectful not douchebags that are just trying to play with girls' emotions. Hopefully they don't disappoint her, " I tell him. 

" I don't think they will disappoint her, " Dani comments. I give her a nod. 

" Yeah I don't think so either, but you know Maverick is like the bad boy in our family. Which I know like if he ever meets you in person, he will probably freak out. Because you're his like role model, and for the longest time my dad was like trying to make him like him. And he's not, I could tell when they were younger that he's not going to be like him, " I comment. 

" So your dad is like the dad that wants his children to be better than him? " Logan asks. 

" Yeah, he has always been that all star dad, and out of everyone. I went to my dad when I was 13, and sung him a song that I later released. And that was when I told him I wanted to be a singer, and he was like 'okay... let's get to work'. He is just an amazing dad, and my mum was the same way with they are passionate about what their kids are doing, " I tell them. They all nod towards me, and we continue on talking. 

We're not outside just chilling and everything like that. " Are you hoping that you two can do music videos? " Dani asks. 

" Oh I think a few are planned, I haven't done a music video since like 2018, " I comment. 

" What was the last music video you did? " She asks. 

" Human Diary, which was probably one of the hardest songs I had ever written, " I tell her. 

" Why is that? " She asks. 

" Well the song is about a previous relationship I had, where it was he knew every single thing about me. He was my first love, and it ended badly. And he was my human diary, and so visiting those memories wasn't really the best thing. We had our good memories but we also had our bad. I gave my all in that relationship, and it wasn't what I was given back. He was taker. It wasn't healthy, " I state. 

" Is there apart of you that wishes you didn't date him? " Evan asks. 

" No, I think I needed to date him in order to get where I am now. Will I ever date him again no, " I tell him. He gives me a nod. 

It's now later in the day, and I'm about to go to bed. " Hey can I come in? " It's Logan. 

" Yeah sure, " I tell him. He walks in, and closes the door behind him. 

" I found this, thought you might want this, " he tells me handing me my journal that contains my music and the reasons of why I created those songs. 

" Thank you, " I comment. 

" One of the papers fell out. Um, the song seems really, really good, " he comments. 

" The love song? " I ask. He nods. " I'm going to be releasing it on the anniversary of Callum and I. It will be 4 years of us dating. And I wanted to do something special for him, " I add. 

" So how old were you two when you guys started dating? " He asks. 

" I was 18 and he was 23. There's an age gap between us, " I comment. 

" How do you guys make that work? " He asks. 

" What do you mean? " I ask. 

" How do you one keep it from JJ knowing and also from the public? " He asks. 

" There's a lot of sneaking around, and is it healthy probably not. A good thing with us is that we're best friends either way. I see him as my best friend, well one of my best friends. So when I refer to him it's best friend, but that's because he's been my best friend and he is my best friend. Keeping it from JJ has been hard. There's moments where I'm just like 'I'm just going to tell him, and everything like that'. But I remember one of the reasons why we didn't tell him. You know I love him more than anything, but he is very overprotective of me. And if he knew I know something bad could happen. He's too overprotective, because he's seen me at my worst. My ex hurt me so badly, and I thought I was never going to be happy again. I didn't smile for like 4 months after the breakup. And he doesn't want me to get hurt, " I tell him. 

" Do you think you're going to marry Callum? " He asks. 

" I do, I think that I found the one. Him and I need and want to tell him, and JJ always asks me like oh who are all of your love songs about. And I just tell him oh don't worry about it. Do I feel bad about it yes, but at the same time I'm afraid of what he would do if he found out, " I comment. He gives me a nod. 

He soon left, and I got a call from JJ. 

" Hey JJ what's up? " I ask. 

" How's everything been going? " He asks. 

" It's been going good, we just finished writing one of the songs. And we're working on a few more, " I tell him. 

" That's awesome, " he comments. 

" Yeah, how are you doing? " I ask. 

" I'm doing good, it's been weird without you. Everyone misses you, " he tells me. 

" Yeah I know, the boys are texting me like every other day making sure I'm okay and everything, " I tell him. 

" How are you adjusting? " He asks. 

" Good, everyone in the house makes it feel like home, " I comment. 

" I'm glad, " he comments. " If he pulls anything, " he adds. 

" He won't. Logan isn't like that, I know you think he's like that. But he's not, " I tell him. 

" I know... I'm sorry, " he tells me. 

" I know, I should go... have to start early with working. Love you JJ, " I comment. 

" I love you too, " he comments. 

I just hope that everything over there is alright, and nothing bad will happen. Because I will feel so bad if something bad happens.
