SHANTAL

As of now, hindi parin ako makapili kung ano bang dapat kong suotin. It was not that special kaya hindi dapat ako natataranta ng ganito. But I should still look presentable tho.

Kaagad kong kinuha yung color light blue na dress mula sa cabinet ko. Ito na lang yung susuotin ko para simple lang tignan.

"Shannie, are you ready?" bumuntong-hininga muna ako bago sumagot. Hindi ko alam na hindi man lang ako naka-damoves kay Jeongin. Ang saklap ng buhay ko.

"Yes mom" sabi ko atsaka lumabas na ng kwarto ko.

"Wow. You look beautiful anak" I just smiled on my Mom. As I really should.

"C'mon. Hinihintay na tayo ng Dad mo sa kotse" hindi na ako kumibo pang muli ngunit sa halip ay sinundan ko na lang si Mommy palabas.

"You are so pretty anak. Sure akong lalong maiinlove sayo yung fiance mo" I just smiled again at them. Wala naman akong pakialam kung mainlove siya o hindi eh. Baka naman kase he's not even my type.

Nagdadaldalan sila Mommy at Daddy habang ako, nakatingin lang sa labas ng bintana. How I wish this was all a dream. I don't like this set-up.

Ilang oras lang ay nakarating kami sa isang malaking restaurant. Mukha namang sobrang mamahalin ng lugar na 'to.

Halos mapanganga si Shantal sa sobrang ganda ng restaurant na pinuntahan nila. Well, she had been a lot of fancy restaurants but this one is alot bigger than those kaya hindi niya mapigilang humanga sa lugar na iyon.

"Kierra! How are you?" rinig niyang salubong ng Mommy niya sa isang babae. She was in her mid 40's pero hindi halata sa itsura nito.

"Sandra! You are finally here. Is that Shantal?" her mom smiled again then nodded her head.

"Wow! She's a very beautiful lady. No wonder gustong gusto siya ng anak ko" hindi na nagbigay pansin pa si Shantal sa kanila but then she grabbed her phone from her bag and start scrolling on her social media account.

"Where's your son?"

"Ahh. He said he will use the washroom pero pabalik na din yun"

"Shantal is really pretty. They would be a perfect couple" she just smiled at the woman.

"By the way, hi Shantal! I am Kierra. But you can call me Mommy too" she couldn't help but to feel awkward.

"Ahh hello po! I am Shantal"

"I've heard a lot of good things about you. Palagi kang kinukwento ng anak ko" she furrowed her eyebrows in his last sentence.

"Kilala po ako ng anak niyo?" she curiously asked the woman.

"Yes! I think he had—" hindi na naituloy ng babae ang sasabihin niya when someone called her Mom.

"Oh anak, andito ka na pala. Come here, andito na si Shantal" her heart was beating so fast because of nervousness.

"Okaaay! We're finally complete. Shantal, this is my son, Kairo" she tried to calm herself but then her blood started to boil again. Everytime she would heard his name hindi niya maiwasang mainis.

"She's indeed really beautiful like you've told me"

"Mom!" saway niya sa mama niya but then the woman laughed at him.

"So you're shy now? Aww, my poor baby is shy" he was more nervous this time. Hindi niya alam kung ano ang totoong reaksyon ng dalaga dahil she was infront of their parents.

"Wow. Your son is handsome too. Bagay na bagay sila ng anak ko" Shantal's Dad complimented.

"Thank you po" nakangiting sabi ni Kairo sa lalaki.

"And he was kind too. I can't wait for their wedding"

"Speaking of wedding. Kairo and Shantal, we've decided that you too will get married as doon as you both finished your studies. But for now, you should focus on your career first. And we've also decided to get you both a apartment para atleast both of you can practice on living with each other. Isn't that great?" excited na saad ng mama ni Kairo.

"Y-yes tita. That'll be great" pilit na sagot niya.

"Hey, I told you to call me Mommy. I'm your 2nd Mommy now" nakangiting sabi niya kay Shantal.

She was forced to smile infront of them but one thing is for sure, she will get to hate him more because of this.
