Science Fair

No One's

Shiraishi sat in class as (Y/N) sat next to her. They were sharing a table as the class was doing a lab experiment. Everyone had a lab coat on with goggles to protect their eyes. (Y/N) was pouring components into a single cylinder for it to constantly change color as Shiraishi wrote down what happened which was half of the project's grade. A minute later (Y/N) set everything down to take the clipboard and pencil, "Now you put in the final ingredient." Shiraishi looked at him as if though he was insane, "What?!" "Put in the final ingredient." Shiraishi looked at the three remaining chemicals that she could of used, "I mean, it'll be alright if I'm wrong." "No, the project will be ruined." "So you want to fail?!" "No, but if you want a perfect score you'll pick the right one. You also have to pour in the right amount." Shiraishi laid her head on the table, "Ugh. I can't do this." (Y/N) looked down at her to set the clipboard down, "Your probably right. You would probably ruin everything." 

This made Shiraishi stand fully back up as she grabbed the clipboard to slam it on (Y/N)'s chest, "Excuse me?" She was then given a smug look by (Y/N), "You would ruin it." Shiraishi's eye then twitched as she grabbed a vile and poured the liquid into the container to stop when half of it was empty. They waited a few seconds for the mixed liquids to start bubbling making Shiraishi start to worry, but it calmed down as it became clear and stayed still. Shiraishi looked at (Y/N), "Is it suppose to do that?" The teenage boy nodded to have his chest poked by Shiraishi, "Hah!" She then start to pat herself on the back until she noticed (Y/N) clapping, "What are you clapping for?" "I'm clapping for you. I knew that you would get it, just a little motivation was needed." He then gave a smile for Shiraishi to turn her back to him, as she squatted down, and held her cheeks. The teacher then walked up to the table, "I see you completed the task. Your report?" (Y/N) handed her the clipboard for her to take it as she would grade it tonight.

The bell then rang for everyone to leave and head home. As Shiraishi was walking through the school to get out she rubbed her cheeks, "It was just a compliment. You always get compliments." She then stopped as she spotted a piece of paper on the message board that interested her. She looked at it to see that it was a science fair that would be held in two days, this would never have interested her but first place would be rewarded with a $200 cash prize and a lot of extra school credit. This made her excited as she ran out of the school building to scan the crowd of students leaving to spot her target.

(Y/N) was walking down the sidewalk to then be nearly tackled as Shiraishi hugged him from behind, it didn't hurt as two pillows softened the blow. (Y/N) turned around to see Shiraishi as she smiled up at him, "Are that happy to be out of school?" She waved her hand in front of her as she put her other hand on her hip, "Well yes, but I found a way to make a quick buck and earn school credit." "Science fair." "How did you know?" "I do it every year." This made Shiraishi excite, "Really?!" "I don't do partners." "What?! Come on please." She put her hands together as she looked up at him with puppy eyes. (Y/N) then took out a notepad to write a few things on it. He then tore the piece of paper off to hand it to the pleading teenager, "Get all of these and come to the library in two hours. If your late your on your own. We both get $100 bucks each." Shiraishi took it to give a salute, "Sounds good." She then ran off as (Y/N) headed towards the library.

An hour and forty-five minutes later Shiraishi left a store as she had a few bags in her hands, "I had to go to three different stores to get everything. We better be making a unicorn exist." She then pulled out her phone for it to say 4:45, "It takes fifteen minutes to get there, perfect." As she went to walk she was met by a boy in her school, "Hey your Shiraishi right?" Shiraishi tilted her head, "Yeah. You need something?" "Good." He then pulled out $100, "This for a quickie in the alley over there." Shiraishi looked at the money and back at the man.

(Y/N) sat in a private room that the library had as he was tapping his pencil. He checked the clock for it to say 5:00. The door then opened for Shiraishi to come through, "Sup (Y/N)." He then set everything on the table to sit next to (Y/N), "It seems like you got everything." "Of course I did. I'm a genius." You forgot something." This made Shiraishi worried, "What was it?" "A helmet to keep your head from getting bigger." Shiraishi crossed her arms as she pouted, "Ok I get it." (Y/N) then started putting everything in place, "But you are getting better." This made Shiraishi smile as she helped (Y/N). 

Two Days Later

It was the day of the science fair and the judges were at (Y/N) and Shiraishi's stand. The judges though crowded around (Y/N) as he always explained the project perfectly and got the facts right. As (Y/N) was giving an explanation, Shiraishi held her hands behind her back as she kicked the floor. This always happened to her when it came to subjects requiring you to be smart. She pouted until she heard, "But unfortunately I have forgotten the second half of the project." This made the judges frown as they went to write something down until, "Shiraishi though knows the rest." All of the judges turned to her as she looked like deer in headlights until he recollected herself, "Uh, yes I do." She then gave the rest of the explanation for the judges to then move to the next stand.

Shiraishi and (Y/N) walked out of the school as Shiraishi held the first place trophy, "I can't believe it. Great job (Y/N)." "I only did half the work." Shiraishi gained a faint hue of red on her cheeks, even though her skin was dark. As they were walking the teenage boy from two days ago spotted Shiraishi, "Hey you! No one says no to me!" (Y/N) raised an eyebrow to look down at Shiraishi, "You know him?" Shiraishi hid behind (Y/N), "Not really." The boy got closer as he seemed really pissed. (Y/N) picked up a pebble to throw it at a street lamp, the pebble hit it for the tiny rock to go strait down, and hit the guy in the head. The stranger stood there for a second to fall as (Y/N) nodded, "Simple geometry." Shiraishi looked at the guy, "Oh my god!" "I just knocked him out." "Oh." She then cleared her throat, "Then that was fuckin' cool!" (Y/N) did a little bow as Shiraishi clapped.

(Y/N) walked Shiraishi home and Shiraishi was in the doorway, "Thank you for your help with the science fair." "No problem, I wouldn't of helped if you didn't put in the work." Shiraishi moved a strand of hair behind her ear, "Still, thanks." She went to walk away for (Y/N) to stop her as he gave her his share of the prize money. Shiraishi looked at it, "I couldn't." "I have plenty of money, plus you earned it." Shiraishi took the money as (Y/N) walked away while waving goodbye, "See ya tomorrow." "Shiraishi waved goodbye, "See ya." She then closed the door, to slide down with her back against it. She then held her cheeks to hide her blush from nobody.
