Hi everyone! Recently, Wattpad was breached and over 270 million records were exposed. This is the largest data breach ever recorded. The data was initially sold and then published on a public hacking forum where it was shared amongst others. This incident exposed a lot of personal information. Some of that information includes: usernames, IP's, email, genders, birthdates, and more. If an email is pwned and there is one or more "pastes", that means that your information was sold, or trying to be sold. I hope all of you stay safe. Here are some ways to protect yourself:

1- Visit this site https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to check if you were affected or not. Red means that you were pwned and green means that you are safe.

2- Change ALL of your passwords and delete the pwned emails if needed.

3- Turn off 3rd party permissions for Wattpad

4- Reset your Wattpad password then log back in. When you log back in, delete your account.

5- Go to https://haveibeenpwned.com/OptOut and follow all the steps listed.
