I promise
A ring,
A letter,
A flower,
And a kiss,
An invisible cracking
And the non-existing knives
Which are constantly stabbing
Into the shattered pieces of ones heart.
Yet they say,
More fishes in the sea,
The world did not end right?
And don’t worry your worth much more.
However, I do not stand in a fishing boat,
I do not hold a rod,
The world I shortly lived ended,
Only the remains of my heart are, from it, tangible.
Regardless, I smile and nod,
I receive the unwanted pity silently,
And I allow my self to be discussed freely.
(Though I am within hearing distance)
They do not understand,
They will never understand,
That I can never erase the chain
Connecting my soul with his.
It is not visible to the naked eye,
Yet I clearly see it,
It is here, though loose,
It is able to keep me in one piece,
Therefore while they surround my empty body,
I think of one thing I was once told,
I love you,
Ill always be there,
I promise.
