CHAPTER.06
ELEANOR

"Sus, noong isang gabi nga, naglalakad ka sa gitna ng kalsada, hindi ka ba natakot doon?" his voice was stuck in my head.

He's so annoying to the point that I couldn't stop thinking of him!

I knew he was going to bring that up!

Escaping home and wandering around the streets every night was normal for me, the next day I wouldn't even remember doing it. Then, when I saw him that night when I wasn't myself, I feel even more humiliated.

God. I just wanted coffee.

"Saan ka galing?" Calista, a friend of mine asked as I walked pass her locker.

"Starbucks," I replied, raising my cup of coffee.

When I entered the classroom almost half of my classmates are asleep. It looks like hindi nga lang ako yung napagod dahil sa tambak na gawain. Isipin mo naman kasi, we only get short due dates. Pag binigyan kami ng task, gusto kaagad sa susunod na araw, tapos na.

Estudyante po kami, hindi magician.

We can't handle all those things at once and expect us to finish all of them in one night.

"Class dismissed." Finally, nag-dismiss din 'tong teacher na 'to.

After class, bumaba na ako with Nine for lunch. Pagdating ko sa cafeteria, puno na kaagad ang buong room. Pa'no ba naman kasi? Nag-bell na tapos late pa din kami na-dismiss. Yan tuloy, saan kami uupo?

"Daming tao," sabi ni Nine.

I looked around and saw few of my friends sa lower grade level na magkakasama sa isang lunch table.

"Tara," aya ko kay Nine.

Hinila ko ang kamay niya papunta sa lunch table nila Rory. Last school year, lagi ko silang kasama kumain tuwing recess or lunch. But, for some reason my mother doesn't want me to hang out with them, anymore. She literally told me that I should focus on my studies and not with my friends. Even though, I was the happiest when I was with them, my mother had to take me away from them just because she wants to.
