Staring out the window of my home, I anxiously awaited any sign of my pack members return. All the men from the pack had been called into a meeting with our Alpha. The women were ordered to stay in their houses with the children.

I looked over at my mother who didn't even seem phased by the unusual situation we were in.

"What do you think it's about?" I asked turning back to the window.

"If the alpha wanted us to know we would." She replied nonchalantly.

I stood up from the couch and walked into the kitchen. If the alpha wanted us to know we would. I wasn't surpised with her answer. She worshipped our alpha and trusted him completely. Of course I trusted Alpha Drake too but I wanted to know what was going on!

I was a member of this pack and I deserved to know what was happening inside of it.

I filled a glass of water and sat down at the kitchen counter. I racked through my brain trying to see what could have gone wrong.

There weren't any rogues by our borders. We hadn't been attacked. I don't think anyone had been injured. I couldn't figure it out. Our packed had mainly been a peaceful one, only having trouble with Hollow Peak. But then again, who didn't have trouble with Hollow Peak?

Hollow Peak was our lovely neighboring pack full of murderers. They had completely destroyed two packs without leaving so much of a trace as to where they once were. They killed every pack member of those two packs. Men, women and children killed for no reason. Their pack was made up of fierce soldiers who were taught how to fight from a very young age. While I was playing with friends and dolls at age 6 the Hollow Peak children were being taught how to fight in human form. Once they got their wolf, the were trained in wolf form.

Basically fighting a Hollow Peak member in any from was a bad idea.

I shivered thinking about how their pack was run. Their alpha has to be heartless. I was interrupted from my thoughts hearing my front door shut.

I quickly made my way into the living room to greet my father and brother. As soon as I entered I could tell something was wrong. "Sit Kira." My Dad instructed and I immediately sat down on the couch next to my Mom. She grabbed hold of my hand and we exchanged short eye contact before looking back to my dad.

"Hollow Peak has 3 of our members." My Dad spoke sternly. "We're going to get them back."

I began to wonder why we would go to get them. Obviously because they're pack members but odds are the alpha of Hollow already killed them. My heart dropped at my own thought. No. They're alive. We're going to get them back and everything will be fine because they're alive.

Lost in my own thoughts I missed my Dads instructions on their whole plan. I knew I would be there for show in the beginning, to make it look like we had a lot of numbers. I also knew Hollow Peak wouldn't just hand us our members back because we asked nicely. I knew it would result in a fight, and I hoped I was ready.
