"You are usually cute but now when ur crying I just feel sad for you . I just wish you could tell me what is wrong sweetheart ." I talked to him as if he understand my words .

I checked if he need a changing but nothing . He was clean . Having a baby is so stressful . Ohh Yale . I noticed his blue blankie  was on his cot ,I stood up with him on my arms and walked across the room with him . I rapped him with the blanket and waited for the doctor to check him ,so that my mind to be at ease .

I sat back down on my bed and the door to my room opened . April walked in with Doctor Susan and Faith .

"Alpha can you lay the baby on the bed ." I did as I was told and stepped away .

The doctor did her thing. Checked his temperature and all the things they do . She turned to me . " I don't see anything ." She said honestly .

" Faith please tell me it's nothing ." I said frustratedly running my hands on my slightly wet hair .

"It's something . " She pushed herself away from the wall and walked to baby Yale . " Something unusual . "

She looked at Yale as if he is a new rank in the money system . More precious than gold .

" What do you mean ? "

" He is shifting . " With just the word I moved towards my baby . " .. Ohh Yale . Now your my second surprise . "

" How can I help him ." I looked up at Faith ." Go to your relatives downstairs, they know what to do . "

I stood up and raced downstairs with the baby on my arms . I could feel his temperature picking up but dropping .  I stormed in the living room were Apollo and Aries were playing some cards . They looked at me when I walked in and their gaze shifted to baby Yale .

"Is he shifting . " Hera asked from the seat in the corner of the room where she was reading a book . " ..mmh something like that . "

" Can you guys do something please ." I pleaded with them . I was almost in the bridge of kneeling in front of them .

Aries spoke up placing his cards on his laps." Yes we can do something ,it's mostly to reduce the pain . But you on the other hand ,can literally stop the shift . "

Processing everything he said I just looked at him . " His shifting into a wolf . You can sense it . If you realized when he is near you he is calm and not restless . " I nod my head in realisation . " Just speak to him and tell his wolf it's not yet time ."

I calmed myself down ,feeling the air around me together with every muscle on my body. I felt every wolf in the pack and beyond but I shut every wolf out and focused to search for Yale's wolf . I felt a small wolf whimpering in front of me . It was black and small. It curled it self like it's scared of being along .

When I neared it it raised it's head . Mother. That was the first word it said .

Yes my child .I responded back .

The wolf walked to me and I licked it's cheek and sniffed it everywhere to make sure it was okey and not harmed . My wolf felt protective of this wolf more .

Why are you shifting in such a young age. Your human body is not strong enough to contain you now . The baby might die .I talked to the black wolf causally resting my head near it's neck  .

Forgive me I didn't know mother . I just felt him call out to me and I come . I felt his regrets . I licked his cheek and placed my paw near his snort .

Oh child ,don't feel bad . Yale will be lucky to have you . I assured him .

We stayed their for a while as he felt my motherly embrace . Will I see you again mother .

I will see you again . You can even stay in Yale's head and make him comfortable . You know .I will always be here for you my child. I said as I stood up and he did the same . He was tiny just like Yale but so cute . He looked like a puppy with his small paws and those big blue glossy eyes of his . I licked his check one last time . The slowly come back to reality .

I opened my eyes and  I saw Apollo and Aries smiling from ear to ear . Hera was pleased to .

" I see why your mother wanted to retire and leave the job to you . " Apollo broke the silence . I looked down at baby Yale and he was giggling . His voice was just contagious bringing a smile to my face . I looked into Yale's eyes and saw his wolf's presence was just below him . I knew his wolf would do anything to protect him .

" Wait mom's retiring . " I said shocked ,then mumbled the next words to myself ." Why is this year's birthday filled with surprises"
