"That's it! I'm never going mining again!" Dawn threw her pickaxe back in the dusty chest. She thought about the raid, the mobs, the lost Spectral Arrows and the bloodstained sword hanging on her wall. She twined her long black hair around her blocky finger. Maybe she could talk to Emily. Emily always made her feel better.

Emily didn't know what to say. She thought about the Spectral Arrows. The village head had trusted her with the Arrows and now they were gone. And now the enemy had the ability to use all the special arrows in the Overworld. Maybe Rolan could make her feel better.

Rolan was staring at the floor. He wasn't stupid enough to think it was his fault but he felt awful anyway. The village was half destroyed and all the hay bales, brick walls and thatched roofs were stuck full of arrows. There was a big hole in his wall and the windows were all smashed. Stupid Pillagers.

Skie was glaring at the obsidian shards that were on the floor. They were the remains of a lock that once sat on the lid of a high quality ender chest. It once held the Spectral Arrows but now they were gone. She was trying to blame the ender chest lock for something that was not its fault.

To explain Dawn, Rolan, Skie and Emily feeling the way they were, we have to go back to when the village was still in one piece, no mobs were trying to wreck everything and the nether portal didn't exist.
