Hardest to love- by The Weekend

Will be told from Duncan's POV

"You try with me so many times
You're cryin' out behind the smiles
And I can see right through the lies
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And what we had is dead inside, yeah
You're actin' like it's still alive
And you still wanna make it right, yeah
I know"

" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! ANOTHER PIERCING?!" Courtney shouted at him. As Duncan sat down on the couch, beer in hand, he looked straight at the TV not really minding Courtney's yelling. " what does it matter? I'm still me aren't I princess?" Duncan said, the teasing getting on Courtney's nerves.

Duncan wasn't listening to Courtney the way she wanted him too. Yes she loved him, but she refused to walk around with someone who had a million and one holes in their body.

" That's not the point Duncan! This isn't healthy for you! We need to get some of these removed." She said, her anger calming down, worried now that she would upset him after her constant anger.

" why does it bother you so much? It's not like it's on you." Duncan said, before taking another sip of his beer. Courtney huffed before she sat down next to him on the couch. " I'm sorry." Courtney said, resting her head on his shoulder. As Duncan sat on the couch, sipping from his beer.

"But I've been the hardest to love
You're tryna let me go, yeah
And I can see it, I can see it
I've been the hardest to love
It's hard to let me go, yeah
And I can feel it, I can feel it (oh, yeah)"

It was Saturday, the day where Duncan would finally have a break from Courtney and her yelling. This was the day of the week where he would get to see Gwen. He was excited to say the least, to show off his piercing to her, because he knew a few days prior that she had gotten one as well.

Duncan's was placed on his ear. It wasn't much but it was still something he liked.

As Duncan walked around the mall and took a seat at one of the tables placed outside he waited for Gwen to show up. Lately, she had been busy with work, her artwork being noticed by countless people.

" Hey Juvie." A voice rang through his ears. He looked up and saw Gwen standing there. Her hair had grown, just up to her shoulder blades. It was died with its usual blue and black combo, this time around, adding small hints of a darker shade of blue to it.

Duncan smirked before standing. The two of them doing their handshake. ( From the Alien episode of TD. ) " hey pasty. How's it going?"

Gwen sighed as the two began walking. " stressful. Really stressful." Duncan frowned a bit. " why?"

Gwen shrugged as the two walked into a store. " more paintings are going, so I need to paint way more than I normally do. My agent thinks it'll be good if I get an entire collection of paintings out before the end of summer." Duncan let out a hm.

" I can help." Duncan said. Gwen chuckled and said " I don't think they're gonna want carvings from wood."

Duncan rolled his eyes and said " not like that pasty. I meant help you relax."

"I don't feel it anymore (yeah)
The house I bought is not a home (no)
Together we are so alone
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah (oh)
Don't regret the day we met (we met)
Don't forget that time we spent (we spent)
Forget that we're in different beds
I know"
