Chapter 1: Randonautica

Randonautica is a app that takes you to random places based off your intentions. I heard once someone wished for a dog and randonautica brought them to a place with a stray puppy! I think that's so awesome. It's all fun and games until you wish for something that the universe doesn't want you to see.

I walk around town late at night with my friend Cal. We were using the randonautica app for fun and we were just fucking around. We got to our location and immediately something felt wrong.

"7 years of living here and I've never thought to go back here before." Cal said.

"Yeah neither have I.. let's go this way" I say.

At first we didn't notice much.. just trees, houses, bikes, cars, more bikes..

"That's a lot of bikes don't you think?" I ask while going closer to the brown shed with cobwebs hanging from the roof as if it's been abandoned for at least a few months.

"I mean.. yeah, and it's kinda weird because we've been talking about bikes all day you know?

"Wait that's really weird you're right."

After a while we figured it was nothing and walked over to the cars. It seemed like any regular car dealership until I saw something odd. Three lime green cars and four sky blue cars.

"Cal have you ever heard of the simulation theory?"

"No what is that?"

"Well, there's a theory that our life is actually all a simulation, and sometimes the universe glitches and does stuff it's not supposed to. So if you see anything that repeats a lot then usually it's a glitch, but it has to be something that's usually uncommon.. like 3 lime green cars."

We look over at the cars.

"Cal, something just doesn't feel right."

We stood in silence looking around for any proof that life was real. We started to get freaked out and decided to just go to Cal's house for the night. On the way home we started to see a lot of repeating things that we don't usually see.

"Cal what if randonautica is trying to tell us something."

"Well what do you mean"

"What if something is wrong and we're the only ones that can fix it. It's like randonautica knew we were missing something in our lives but we didn't even know what it was we were missing."

"Grace and helaina would love this kind of stuff we should hang out with them or like text them to let them know what's going on."

"That sounds like a good plan cal."

We arrive at Cal's house and plop down on his bedroom floor. Our heads both pounding, we decide to tell our friends helaina and grace what we saw and went through.

What if there's more to our lives then we thought? This might just be the way we discover who we really are.
