I watched as the moving truck moved all of my belongings. My family was moving to Chicago but I was staying here with my mom's childhood best friend which I call my Aunt Unique. I think her name truly fits her shes one of the most Unique person I have ever met. Anyways I'm from New orleans born and raised of course. If your wondering who I am I'm K'ara Thomas , I'm a dark skin girl who's blunt as hell but low key insecure.
"K'ara can you hurry up and pack your clothes into Unique car while you just sitting their day dreaming " My mom said while rolling her eyes
" Oh my bad " after that I grabbed my bags and begin loading them into my aunts new Audi .
"Unique you sure you want her to move in with you? We don't have no problem with dragging her ass straight to Chicago with us . " My aunt Unique laughed at my mom while I rolled my eyes.
"Naw you know I don't mind her coming to stay with me I get lonely anyways " My aunt shrugged and smiled .
"Katherin can you hurry up and get in the car so we can go?!" My dad yelled at my mom and all she did was flip him off
" That's how we got these kids now" After that my mom hugged me and handed me a card that she will use to send me money ever month.
" You know I want you to call me every nite so I can make sure your okay." My mom wiped her tears and pulled me in a hug.
" Momma I know and I promised I will" I gave my niece and dad a hug as they pulled off . As they left I thought about my brother when he left for the Navy. I climbed into the passenger seat off my aunt's car as we pulled away from my old home.
" Your excited about staying with me?" My aunt asked as she looked straight ahead at the road
"Of course, you know I always wanted to live with you and plus I won't be family less my grandma , aunt and cousins still live here" I shrugged and bobbed my head to the music
" Oh okay , just making sure and I signed you up for school" she informed me as we pulled up to her house
Instantly my eyes landed on a fine light skin boy that stood on the corner
" Girl you can stop staring at that nappy head nigga " My aunt smirked as she popped her trunk and unloaded my things
" You need some help Ms.Unique?" The boy from the corner asked my aunt
"Sure you and my niece can unload all this stuff while I go inside , August this is my niece K'ara and she's going to be staying with me . K'ara , August lives next door to us. With that being said she went in the house
" How old are you" August asked me while looking at my ass
"First off my face is up here and I'm 16" I rolled my eyes and carried my stuff to my room with August following me and sitting my belongings down
"My bad ma a nicca just couldn't help hisself" He smirked
"What ever nigga" I brushed passed him and went to finish getting my things. After 10 minutes we were done and August sat on my bed annoying me.
"Shouldn't you be getting home or something while your in my room" I said bluntly to August
" Naw imma stay here and bug my new neighbor. He smirked at me
" YALL come here!" My aunt called for us
"Here we come aunty" as we was walking August pinched my ass
"Watch your damn hands " I whispered so my aunt wouldn't hear me
" Stop being a crybaby and walk up chocolate " I rolled my eyes at his smart ass
" August would you mind showing my niece around the neighborhood?" My aunt asked August
"Sure , what time does she need to be back home?" He asked with his eyebrows raised
"By 10:30"
*Ight cools lets go K'ara" and with that we were out the door
