Ruby Fell Into The Abyss Part 2

"Your honesty and straight forwardness are commendable but I highly suggest that you keep it between us since a lot of demons here are quite temperamental and doesn't tolerate the slightest disrespect." Dyrroth poured mead into a nice cup and pushed it to her direction which she gladly accepted.

"If I may ask, why are you here, your majesty?" Ruby asked as she swallowed her meal and drank from her cup.

"Stop with the your majesty shit you're not a part of my legion so you can just call me Dyrroth."

"Okay so Dyrroth why did you come to pay me a visit?" she rephrased more casually making him smile.

"Nothing particular. I'm just bored and in need of something to distract myself with or I'm going to fight anyone I come across with. But it's not like I can really take you out for a spar or else I'll never hear the end of it from Alice."

"What do you usually do with your time? I bet that running a whole underworld empire is tedious work."

"It's not half bad and I love the feeling of being in control. I get to boss around demons way bigger than me and have anyone killed in the most brutal way if I so desire. Plus I get to amass millions of pretty gems and gold since the Abyss is quite abundant with minerals and stuff."

"But what are you going to use them for?" Dyrroth was silent after this unable to think of a reply.

"I guess I don't really need them but they're just pretty to look at. You can have some if you want."

"Datchhsss vewwy generous of you but *gulp* I don't think I need them as well." Ruby replied as she happily dig into the boar leg.

"I can see that you're liking it. Very good because I exerted extra effort to hunt that boar for you so you should be very glad and praise me like a god." His statement made Ruby raise a brow.

"You hunted a boar just for me. Why?"

"Because you're my first pet and I wanted to take good care of you since humans are known to be very fragile things. It's quite hypocritical of me since I want to eradicate your entire race from this planet."

"Why?"

"Because your kind is mediocre and weak, a lot of you are filth that crawls the earth. You take take take and build build build and then call yourselves superior beings well then I'm going to show your people who's actually the boss. I'll kill every single one of you." There was only silence as Ruby stared at the ground.

"Why are you so quite?"

"I'm not your pet." she stated firmly with a shadowed face.

"What?"

"I may be your prisoner but I will never, even a single second, ever let you break me and turn me into your animal. Is that what you think we are? Animals that you can easily kill or imprison! Human life may be as fickle as a flower but it is more than just pointless existence! I can tell you with certainty that there are things in this planet worth protecting." Ruby paused as she directed him a menacing glare laced with confidence and absolute certainty.

"I assure you that even if it kills me, I will do everything in my power to make you fail. I will protect them and even if I fall, another will replace me. So watch your back." Ruby snarled engaging him in a heated staring contest while the fires of determination dance in her eyes.

"Beautiful. Haha. Be proud human girl. I think your conviction and fierceness had made my heart flutter. You are a very interesting woman." He forcefully grabbed her cheeks pulling her face closer to the bars.

"You're expression is splendid but I do not tolerate disrespect. You shall be punished later on. For now I have important matters to attend to. Wait for me." Dyrroth unexpectedly nipped at her earlobe making her pull away in disgust and glare at him in repulsion.
