The Moeru Ken Boxing Gym

Jio stares at a dove flying pass the classroom window "the orphanage isn't doing so well ,I need to find a part time job to help out mrs.karumu ,I mean she was kind enough to raise me and the others all these years and even give is her last name" thinks jio "Mr.karumu I'd really appreciate if you would pay a little more attention to my class" says ms.hidawa "sorry ma'am was just thinking about something important" chuckles jio rubbing the back of his head "I'll let it slide this once" she's say then the dismissal bell rings and everyone starts packing to leave "see you monday  ,and oh Mr. Karumu a word please" says ms.hidawa "no problem ma'am" says jio ,she waits until the class is cleared out and then says "I heard your family has fallen on hard times" "for us it's always been hard times" jio sighs "I understand ,so what are you planning to do?" She asks folding her arms under her gigantic breasts "well am planning to get a part time job" nervously chuckles jio "I see ,well go ahead kid that's not a bad idea" says ms.hidawa "well I'll be heading home now miss ,see you monday , goodbye" says jio heading towards the door and waving at his teacher "yes see you Monday" she chuckles , jio closes the door and starts walking down the hall "a part time job huh ,better start searching" he thinks .Jiobanni walks along a path near a  river bank ,he sees a tall muscular man ,around six foot four jogging towards him on the opposite side of the path way ,the man is in a red sweatshirt with black sweatpants ,his short black hair swaying as he moves forward ,white hand wraps on his fists "this guy is a boxer" thinks jio "I'm not the type of guy that likes being eyeballed by guys" says the man giving jio a curious look "no its not like that I was just wonder if you were a boxer"nervously says jio rubbing the back of his head "so kid you interested in boxing huh kid?" Asks the man "well I mean I watched a few matches" says "well kid boxing is great ,and you can earn a lot of money from boxing" says the man "money ,enough money to take care of a family of six?" Asks jio "even a family of twenty" the man chuckles "if you're interested in learning how to box I'd say you come to the moeru ken boxing gym on top of laigo hill" the man tells jio "ok can I come tomorrow?" Asks jio "of course kid ,now I'll be getting back to my road work ,see yah kid" says the man as he jogs away "wait I didn't catch you're name sir" jio shouts "it's Kenta ohida ,what's yours kid?" Kenta shouts back "it's jiobanni karumu" jio shouts back "well met jiobanni" shouts kenta . jio walks into the house and is greeted by his adopted brothers and sisters , a red head twelve year old boy named tobi , a blonde eight year old boy named neji , a white hair six year old girl named hinamè and a black hair thirteen year old girl named Niko ,"hey guys" says jio with a grin "big brother you're home" shouts hinamè hugging jio and resting her head on his abdomen "hey bro" says tobi , a brown hair woman that looks no older than twenty five ,she has  curvy hips and huge breasts , she stares at jio and smiles "good evening mother" jio says "hey kiddo you're just in time for dinner" she says "yea big bro mom made pot potatoes with bean stew" shouts neji in excitement "ok can you guys go sit around the dining table me and mom need to have a private conversation" says jio "ok whatever bro" sighs Niko walking away ,the others follow leaving jio and Mrs.karumu alone in the hall "so what you wanna say?" Asks Mrs.karumu "I know that times are hard mother and food is hard to come by so I'd like to ask you if you guys would divide my dinner and eat till your bellies a full" jio says "jio you know I can't do that" she sighs "it's ok mom ,I'll  eat tomorrow" he says with a satisfactory smile "plus am not even hungry he adds" he adds "ok I understand" she sighs ,jio walks pass her and heads down the hall then up the stairs ,he unlocks his door and throws off his school bag and throws himself in his bed ,his belly growls furiously and he sighs "well today was something else" he thinks ,the thoughts of what Mr.ohida had said to him early today were all jiobanni could think about as he drifted off to sleep .Jio rolls on his bed and notices a plate with two slices of bread and butter and a hot cup of Jasmine tea on his night stand "B&B ,it's not much but it's better than nothing" he thinks as he reaches for one of the slices ,he finishes breakfast and heads toward the bathe room he nearly collides into hinamè who's being chased neji ,inside the bathe he takes a shower and wraps himself in a towel and heads back towards his room ,he changes off into a dark blue T-shirt and black sweatpants with a wore out dark blue sneakers "I think I can do some boxing training in these" he thinks looking himself over in the mirror "where are you going so early in the morning" giggles Mrs.karumu standing at his door way "that's a secret I can't tell yet" he laughs "well anywhere you're going I hope you have fun" she says walking off "am sure I will" he giggles .Jio walks into the gym ,he sees men and women of all ages doing all kinds of training ,some doing sit ups ,some weight lifting ,some hitting punching bags "you made it" chuckles kenta walking towards him ,there's a short middle age man with a military fade walking beside kenta "this is the kid I told you about" kenta says to the man "this kid wants to be a boxer" the man laughs while pointing his index at jio ,jio frowns "the kids heart is in the right place ,plus he actually showed up" says Kenta "so you gonna stand there like a dummy or are you gonna introduce yourself kid" the man says "I'm jiobanni karumu sir" jio says "well karumu by the end of today you'll know if you wanna be or can be a boxer" the man says "by the way kid the old guys name is manmoru kashigiya ,he can be a pain in the ass at times but he knows what he's doing" laughs kenta "follow me kid"says Mr.kashigiya ,he leads to the center of the gym where the sparring ring is "out" he says to the two girls sparring in the ring ,the exit the ring and start heads  the way jio and Mr.kashigiya came ,then blonde hair girl gives jio a wink as she walks pass and jio's flashes as red as a tomato ,his eyes follows her gaze as she walks away  "stop day dreaming lover boy and get the ring" says Mr.kashigiya lowering the rope so jio can slip under "teenagers" he sighs ,he tosses a roll of hand wraps to jio and says "listen kid am only gonna say this  once ,roll out the and wraps and lace the strap backwards around your thump ,after that wrap it three times around your wrist then three times around the palm then three times around the knuckles then lace it between the fingers and the wrap it around the knuckles another three times then wrap it around the palm again and lock it in place with the end of the hand wraps" (this is how I learned to apply hand wraps for boxing but trust me there are numerous methods) ,jio follows the instructions given and comes out with somewhat perfectly wrapped hands , mr.kashigiya hands him a pair of grappling gloves and he himself puts on a pair of boxing mittens "ok kid for your first lesson I'll be teaching you what we boxers call a one two ,its simple , its a left jab then a right jab" mr.kashigiya says "ok sir ,but can you show me" nervously chuckles jio "jeez kid you're as dense as they get ,look you slightly twist your hips and tilt the shoulder inwards when you punch" says mr.kashigiya demonstrating with a left jab "think you can do that kid" he adds "yes sir" says jio ,mr.kashigiya puts up the mittens and Jio hits the right mitten with a left jab " one ,good ,now two" says mr.kashigiya ,jio hits the left mitten with a left jab ,then the right with a left jab "this kid catches on fast ,and I can feel a lot of power in his punches" thinks mr.kashigiya ,jio hits the left mitten with a left jab and then the right with a right jab and continues to  exchange jabs with the mittens ,then after five minutes he hunches over from exhaustion "not too shabby for someone who hasn't boxed a day in his life" says mr.kashigiya "thanks sir" says jio between raggedy breaths "don't thank me just yet ,there's a lot of work to do if you plan on going pro" says mr.kashigiya "oh I do plan on going pro sir" says jio "well in that case go see kenta I think he's about to leave and do some road work ,you should go too cause you need to up your stamina" says mr.kashigiya heading out of the ring "am not gonna lie but this is actually fun" thinks jio .Mr.kashigiya is washing his hands off in the sink ,he turns over his hands and places his red palms under the running water "all that from blocking a few punches from a child , a rookie no less ,either am getting too old for this or kenta found a bright spark" he thinks .
