Knowing the truth

I spent hours trying to figure out how I knew that young girl there was something about her I couldn't put out of my mind and that's when it hit me granddaughter to God she is the image of her mother India.

The woman who I love more than anything in this world ,I have to leave her is it possible that Ruby is my child I knew how much of a party girl India was and how her father wanted her to grow up did he make it possible for us to have a child.

There is no doubt in my mind that Ruby is India's daughter and my daughter but as I sit here looking back through images of India where my world used to be so simple

I knew that I have to explain myself to my family tell them everything so that's what I'm going to do I had called a family meeting and they were all waiting for me

"Brother what is this about "kol ask

"This is about our family" I said

" what about our family Elijah you're not making any sense "Rebekah said

" it is about family or my side of the family before I came to Mystic Falls I was in a relationship with a very powerful woman." I took a deep breath "she was incredible smart, beautiful, life and soul of the party but when I got wind of the doppelgänger I ended my relationship with her also for her safety or that might of just been the excuse I made up for me to walk away but I didn't know is that when I left she was pregnant"

They all looked at me in shock "what the hell are you talking about Elijah, you're a vampire you can't have children" klaus ask

"As I said she was a very powerful woman but she had an even more powerful father he is God and has the ability to do anything he wishes India was quite a party girl in her 7 billion years on earth "

"How long have you known about this that you had a child " freya asked

"I figured it out today when I saw my grown-up daughter at the Salvatore school the image of her mother, but I couldn't be sure so I spoke to Alaric and  he confirmed everything the only reason he told me was because legally I am her father I'm on her birth certificate apparently."

They all look at me "when I saw her I knew she was my and India she has the same sass and charm as her mother not afraid to say what she thinks and sure as hell doesn't care about anyone's opinion she knew what she was doing when she told us that she was the granddaughter to God she dropped hints " I took a deep breath "I can't look at myself in the mirror thousand years on this earth and all I ever wanted to be was a father, I have a child who is 19 years old who I wasn't there for because something else is always more important "I locked the whole of them

hope is the first one to figure it out "Ruby is your daughter that's how she knew so much about us because she is all knowing she is able to look at something and know what it is without an instant because that's what God"

"Which is also why she wasn't scared of us because she has more power then us "klaus said

"Brother are you okay this can't be easy for you not being told that you were a father by the woman that you loved " Rebekah said

" I know it must've been difficult but I had a right to know I missed her first steps her first words everything and when we met her today I saw the confidence in the sass that she inherited from her mother and I have a feeling I'm not gonna even get a chance to know her now" I said

"You don't know that you need to try talk to her sit down and explain your side when she's ready she will come to you" Hayley said

"I will give it a shot and explain the mistakes that I've made I will get the last 19 years back but maybe we can start our chapter of father and daughter now "

I hope that I will be able to know my daughter I know I wasn't going to be easy and truthfully I had no right to say anything about her upbringing

I wasn't there but I do know one thing that I do love her I met her once and I could see the passion in her eyes she is my daughter mine and India's I work the rest of my life to be able to be her father
