I've written something like this many times, but I still see a lot of people read this book everyday and it is unfair to them to go through a very much unfinished projected without warning.

Riddle started four years ago, and though at the time it was a great learning experience and one of the sole pillars of my mental health, it is not something I wish to continue any longer. I had a lot planned for this book and I don't like any of it. I don't like the characters, the plot, the way it's written, the historical inaccuracy - everything.

I'll never finish Riddle, but I'll never unpublish it either, as I hold it very dearly to my heart.

I apologize for the amount of people I've disappointed through the years. Though, if you want to read something else but Tom Riddle by me, I'm working on 'Malady' (Professor Riddle!) And 'The Seduction of Riddle', which are both miles away from everything I presented in this book.

Thank you for all these years, but I really don't advise anyone to read through this book. There's no conclusion to it, it ends in the middle of the plot, it's poorly written, Tom Riddle is really out of character. Save yourself some time and go read something else. 'Modification' is often mentioned in my comment section and I'd like to suggest 'Dear Valentine' by @murderarts as well!

please do not read further if you didn't read the entire book, or if you mind being spoiled.

as I no longer wish to complete this story, I'll give you the briefest rundown of the main plot I had planned all those years back, at the very least for a bit of solace:

- within the next few chapters, Lestrange's boyfriend would be fully aware of everything Riddle was and did and attempt to poison him - the poison would be taken by Merope instead;
- while she was in the infirmary, weak, Riddle would find out the culprit and do something terrible to them; not only that, but with her gone, the man who had taken the polyjuice potion as Tom would elaborate on his suspicions about Merope's involvement with Dumbledore;
- he'd fake a grindelwald emergency with dumbledore to get him out of his office and would hear the prophecy
- he'd figure out who had 'potter blood' and plan to murder merope's baby sister - he tells her outright, thinking that if she wouldn't agree that meant she was a threat as well;
- they separate, do not speak through their seventh year
- the rest is a blur, but I know I planned for them to meet a last time in the forest in which he found the Ravenclaw diadem, that they'd have a moment of lust, and that she'd use ancient magic and the strength of the eclipse to attempt to shatter his soul for good, seeing what he had become
- they end up dying together

as you can see, this is all a very cringy and overall way too dramatic plot, but I felt like I should share what the story was walking towards.
