"Lil, When's Matthew's next match?" Jesse asked her, he was walking right in front of her.
"I'm not sure, why?" She asked.
"I want to see him play" The boy craned his neck back to try and look at her.
"I'll see if I can get you tickets" She shrugged simple as she climbed down the train.
"Really!? Thanks!" He grinned, falling in step with the girl.

Oliver was right behind them and couldn't help but overhear their conversation. Delilah didn't seem to be horrified when Jesse asked about her brother's match. Did she just have something against Oliver? But why? Had he done something he didn't know?

One thing Oliver loved was being liked by everyone. People complained that he was a little harsh when it came to quidditch but no one seemed to hate him. Everyone who knew Oliver Wood had taken some sort of liking towards him, except Delilah and that bothered the boy greatly.

The past three years, Oliver had noticed Delilah as a classmate. They never talked or even acknowledged each other. Each knew who the other was but it didn't seem to matter. After their first real encounter with each other in the transfiguration classroom after dinner, Oliver happened to notice the girl a lot more. She seemed to be everywhere and he couldn't help but be curious.

As the sorting ceremony took place in the great hall, Delilah couldn't help but notice Oliver Wood sitting diagonal to her, his face turned towards Percy Weasley.

Her eyes fluttered to the boy who was talking about quidditch and her nose scrunched up at their conversation.

"Lil! You listening?" Clarissa asked her, waving a hand in front of her face.
"Huh? Oh yeah, sorry I zoned out" She replied, tearing her eyes away from Oliver.
"You've been looking at them a lot. Which one do you fancy!?" The gryffindor girl asked Delilah.
"What!? No! They're existence just bothers me" She rolled her eyes and waved her hand to shrug off the topic.
Clarissa raised an eyebrow at her friend but didn't ask further questions.

The two gryffindor girls and two hufflepuff boys walked out of the great hall together.
"I'm thinking about trying out for the quidditch team" Clarissa told Jesse.
"That's great! When are the tryouts?" Connor poked his head into the conversation.
"I don't know yet, I'll have to ask Wood"
Delilah stayed quiet throughout the conversation and casually walked with her friends until wood's name came up.

Her mind went back to diagon alley.
"I don't like quidditch"
"It doesn't seem like it"
What did he mean by that? Just because she had knowledge about quidditch doesn't mean she liked the sport. Why did it even matter what he said?

Connor and Jesse said their goodbyes as they turned around the corner to go to their common rooms.
Delilah and Clarissa walked further to get to the gryffindor dorms.

"What's the new password?" Clarissa looked at Delilah and shrugged.
"We should've stayed with the other gryffindors instead of with Connor and Jes" Delilah shook her head.

The two girls stood there not knowing what to do. No Gryffindor could be seen around and it seemed like everyone had gone inside.

They sat on the floor waiting for someone to arrive when Clarissa spoke up, "let's just go to McGonagall" She suggested.
"You're right." Delilah and Clarissa stood up and went over to the staircase only to meet someone walking up.
"Hey Wood! I'm so glad you're here. What's the new password!?" Clarissa asked as Oliver smiled at the two.
"You both stuck outside?" His gaze moved from Clarissa to Delilah who scrunched up her nose and refused to look at him.
"Come on, I'll take you in" He walled up the stairs as the two girls followed him.

"Draconis Alas" He muttered and motioned the two girls to enter before him.
"Thank you Oliver" Clarissa said sweetly as she nudged her grumpy friend.
Delilah said nothing.
"Delilah"
"Thanks Wood" The raven-haired girl rolled her eyes.
"You're most welcome" Oliver smiled at Delilah who gave him a frowned face.

"When are the tryouts for the team?" Clarissa asked the boy.
"First week of October" He replied. "Are any of you trying out?"
"Oh I might be trying out for chaser. I haven't decided yet" Clarissa told him.
"Brilliant! And you Delilah?" He looked at the girl right in front of him.
She gave him a death glare. "I don't play quidditch"
"Really!? I thought I saw you looking at the Nimbus 1700 in diagon alley the other day. Weren't you going to buy it for yourself?"
"That's none of your business Wood" She sneered at him.
"Wait, you were going to buy that broom for you self?" Clarissa asked in surprise.
"No. It was for Matt" Delilah was easily frustrated.
"No need to get defensive Lilah! I was just asking. I'll see you around" Oliver smirked as his eyebrows raised in amusement.
"Don't call me that! And I will NOT see you around!"
She called out after him as he walked up the stairs. The boy turned around and winked at Delilah before smoothly disappearing into the staircase.

"That was a little rude. He's a nice person!" Clarissa told her friend as they unpacked their trunks.
"You're just saying that because you think he looks cute"
"Partially. But he didn't do anything to you"
"I don't like him and I don't want to talk about or to him ever again" One thing Clarissa knew well about Delilah was that the girl had no temper management skills.
"Whatever" she rolled her eyes.

Delilah laid on her bed thinking about Oliver's words. It doesn't seem like it.
They were ringing in her ears like echoes.
He doesn't know anything about me.
The truth was, Oliver might've seen right through her, something even Clary or Jesse or Connor couldn't do.
Was Delilah that transparent?
Nonetheless, Delilah Hated the boy's guts. He could've just said thank you and walked away from her. He didn't have to start up a conversation.
He needed to stop existing around her.
