It's been an hour since my mom took me from Matthew and she still hasn't said a word to me. The quiet is making me super uncomfortable. Usually, my mom couldn't stop talking. And she's focusing so hard on the road never once blinking or looking around during red lights. Her big brown eyes were dilated to-

"Max stop." I jumped in my seat. "What do you mean?"

"Stop staring at me. I don't like it. I REALLY don't like it." 

Not wanting to upset her, I focused my gaze to outside my window and didn't once turn away.
