I get up and check for my next challenge. Challenge four of fifty: Try to make George jealous at least three times today. I roll my eyes, knowing that it won't work. He doesn't like me like that. I know he doesn't, I'm not stupid. I think, as if whoever was giving me these challenges could read my mind. I call George, as usual, and when we start talking, I realize one way to 'make him jealous'. "Oh! I got a girlfriend recently!" I say excitedly. I see a 1/3 in the corner of my eyes and silently cheer, wanting to knock it pit of the way early on. He congratulates me and I start talking about my 'girlfriend', like that she was beautiful and really smart, that she was the most kind person I had ever met, and then I started talking about how we 'met'. I saw the 1/3 change too 2/3 and felt bad for lying. Until, of course, he started showing signs of being jealous. Then, I just felt heart broken. I told him that I think I'm in love with her, saw a 3/3 pop up then the challenge and the 3/3 disappear. I hang up, put on a mask, and go outside for a walk. This day sucks.
