Tami
AWKWARD. That is one word to describe tonights situation.
Well unfortunately, Tita Esther did her plan-which is for me to finally meet her nephew and I do not know who is assigned to start the conversation.
We are seated in the same position pwera na lang sa pamangkin niyang nakaupo opposite ko sa mesa.
Haa..
He's familiar.
You can't expect me to strike a conversation first. Won't do it.
I bet it's tita, she's so obliged in finding friends for me.
Ginugutom na ako dito.
"Tita kumain na po tayo."
I broke the silence.
Dahil kung hindi ako, sino? At kailan pa ako makakakain? Klase ko pa bukas.
"I will let you, but first let me introduce you two.
"Hi!" He blurted while smiling at me.
High energy levels.
I just throwed my gaze at him and I am sure nakita niya ang pagkunot ng noo ko "Hi."
"Roki!" Saway pa ni tita
"Well that works for me, balance lang tayo because if I may tell you, I'm so much of a talkative person."
Hindi ako sumagot.
I am just observing him. Pamilyar kasi siya kanina pa. Pinanliitan ko siya ng mata.
Oh, I know where I first saw this face. Art-
"Artea cafe- is your workplace right?"
What a mad coincidence!
"Magkakilala na kayo?"
Tita smiled as if something bright came up. As I can perceive in my imagination, it lightened up her atmosphere but It clouded mine grey.
"Ye-"
"No." My apt reply. "Natandaan ko lang na siya yung customer kanina sa cafe, tita" I said straightforwardly, creating emphasis in my last words. Tita should understand the full situation.
"Talaga? Then that's great! I hope you can get along well!
