Jessie had a crush. She also had a wish. She wished that Jason wouldn't act like she was invisible anymore. She also wished that Chelsea White had never been murdered.

******************************************************

Chelsea had been Jessie's best friend since third grade and had also been the serious girlfriend of Jessie's major crush. Jason and chelsea had been going out for about 2 months until Chelsea was found-dead, in a bathroom stall of a fancy movie theater with a knife through her chest. Her killer had spray-painted the initials J.C. all over the bright porcelain colored walls. Except it wasn't spray-paint, it was blood.

I woke with a start. It was a quiet Monday morning and ever since that bloody Friday-when Chelsea White was murdered, I've had the same dream over and over again. It never changes. I yawned and glanced at the clock on my bedside table. It read 6:15. I quickly rushed out of my bed, put on my favorite pair of blue jeans and headed out the door.

I stepped into homeroom right as the first period bell rang. As I was walking in the hall, I tripped. My books and binders were spread all over the middle of the hall. I quickly kicked my things to the side. Once I started to pick my things up, I was aware of someone kneeling beside me. I glanced at a pair of perfectly tan hands. Then I saw that familiar streak of blue on a green and white tee shirt. I looked up into the melty brown pools that were the eyes of Jason Taylor. My heart fluttered as my crush glanced back at me. I realized that I was staring. I quickly got up.

He started to talk in that smooth, melodious, deep voice that could only belong to Jason. "Can I come over your house tonight? I need to copy your notes." I nodded in agreement.

As Jason and I were walking home together, we talked about Chelsea White. He told me how much he had loved her. "She was my best friend and I miss her a lot."I replied back.  Then he admitted that he liked me, and wanted to get to know me better. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach. Finally, my wish had come true!  When we arrived at my house, I remembered that I had skipped breakfast this morning.

"Are you hungry?" I asked Jason. "I am Starving!"He replied. I headed towards the kitchen but was interrupted by a melodious voice.

"Instead, how about you get out the notes, and I'll be back soon with some food." He handed me my school bag. Jason came back with two sandwiches. I stood up and was about to get one of the plates when he grabbed my shoulders. He was about to kiss me when I saw the glare of a knife. I pushed him away and ran into the kitchen. The back door was locked. I had nowhere to run. Jason had followed me and now stood right in front of me. I trembled with fear. The butterflies were gone now."I love you Jessie Colt." Jason cooed.

Jessica Colt was found-dead, on her kitchen floor with a knife through her chest. Her killer was nowhere to be seen. Be careful what you wish for or you just might end up like J.C.-dead and heartbroken.
