Chapt 13 I'm hosting a party little sister

When we had come in with Lillie they all asked why she had the cross bow I grabbed. "Training" she said giddily "we were helping her" I said pointing to both me and gladion. "So that's what you meant by 'yes, no, kind of'" realized Kiawe "yeah" I said then unexpectedly Gladion asked "where did Hau go?" "Huh?" I then looked up to see no Hau then a second after he came with an apple and put it on his head. "Shoot this for me" he smiled "o-okay" she said getting on her knees the arrow went so close to his head it cut some hairs off but did hit the apple. He then slowly took the fruit off of his head pale with fear realizing how doing that could have resulted in death. "That was your fault" I said quietly to him as Gladion gave him a nod so I walked up to him suspiciously. "Seriously what did you tell him?" "Ask someone else." He answered before walking away. "We should try to plan out a route or at least where we'll look for the Tapus first" Said Dexio. 

"Yeah that's ri-" I was cut off by a "Moon, dear you got a letter I don't know who it's from though." I looked at the envelope, it was a gold-ish red color that had a few blue sparkles, 'only the rulers of the Solgolaens can use these and it usually means an invitation. I bet on my life that my father is having a gathering and gave me this just to tell me I can't go' I thought to myself glaring at the card. I then sighed and opened it but it wasn't from my dad.

Surprised? I get to use this now after years of studying father finally thinks I'm able to be Chief he stepped down. I rule! haha get it okay bad jokes aside I have my coronation in a few weeks the exact date is December 8th get there before midnight. Coming is mandatory  if you don't come you will be exiled that was fathers last decree as Chief. I tried to tell father that you might have school work so he should invite you but not make it a threat. He refused to listen so I'm sorry if you have an important test or anything else going on I can say that I tried. You must wear a dress and if you do have anyone any male you bring must wear a suit. I really am sorry

"Daaaaaad!" I yelled at the paper, I don't have the time to be worried about a party and I would have to bring five different people. "What is it?" Asked Gladion I handed him the fancy paper and his eyes narrowed as he read further. "In short we all have to go to a party in a hidden Clan so that said clan doesn't reject you when we finally make it there." I nodded glumly "read the last sentence" I said hoping to get a reaction and it worked. He clenched the paper tight in his fist "and we need to wear formal clothing" he then gave me back the letter and I put it into my bag. When I looked up everyone but Lillie And Hau were angry "how do you move in things like that" Dexio grumbled. "Formal clothes? I don't own three shirts" sighed Kiawe, Gladion just scowled at everything before finally saying "I'd rather die than wear the clothes mother forced me into for years." 'Madion' I laughed to myself  "Let's not focus on something that's in two weeks" I started "let's try and get that tapu gem they can't open it without all four  but we should still collect all four just to be safe"

They all nodded so I started talking "so what do we do when we get there? Ask for an ancient protected gemstone?" Asked Dexio "yep! If they don't give, we will have to take." I smiled "stealing." Said Gladion "I prefer the term treasure hunting" I pouted "right forgive me stealing treasure." "Yes, wait...HEY!" I said punching him in the arm "whatever. Where there's a sacred treasure there is always a sacred cave" I then turned to Kiawe "do you know of any?" I asked him. "We have a lot of caves here, couldn't remember an important one if my life depended on it" he shrugged. After that I went to find his parents, his father gave a similar answer whereas his mother said that she does explore caves but one was never sacred to her people. As I was going to find Lillie I felt a little tug on my pants and looked down to find that it was Mimo.

"Yes?" "My book, it has a cave inside of it and in the story it says there's a pretty rock in it" i was going to tell her that it was fictional until she handed it to me and I saw the cover of it 'The legend of Tapu le le' "where did you get this?" I asked "mommy, she bought it from a nice merchant after she went spalinking." She smiled "spalinking?" I asked but then I remembered Kiawe's mom told me that she explored caves. "spelunking" I corrected Mimo then smiled and nodded her head "mmmhmm" "could you show me where the cave is?" I asked handing her back the book. "Okay" she said and flipped about fifteen pages into the book then I saw a cave that looked like a gaping mouth and had a few dribbles of lava flowing down the sides. "Thank you, I'll give this back I promise!" I yelled at her figure growing smaller as I jogged away and she waved goodbye. I then made it to Kiawe because he was closest anyway but as I got there I realized he was arm wrestling with Hau, "hey!" I called out putting an end to their  battle, I then pointed to the children's book page "Kiawe does this remind you of any place in your turf?"

He walked and took a closer look "no" he said finally "but try asking mom again I think she's your best bet." He then went back to Hau and I jogged away again it took me two solid minutes of jogging and five solid minutes of running because I was getting impatient but I eventually found her. She was reading with a cup of tea at her side I then asked a bit out of breath I admit "does this cave look familiar to you?" She then looked at it for a while and gasped "how hadn't I realized before I've read that to Mimo so many times that is about a three hour hike from here the name is 'The mouth of lava'" I then smiled a lead, yes! "Do you and your friends want to go?" She asked "yep" I said she then sketched a map to the cave "but be warned you need to pass a test to get in a trial of sorts. I can't do it I have a family and farm to look after I'm old now, though" she smiled fondly at a picture of her family "I can't say I regret anything"

After that I walked downstairs and told everyone to pack up whatever they had because we needed to get moving. After about thirty minutes we all said our goodbyes Mimo hugged everyone's leg and the only reason a certain someone didn't resist was because, his sister gave him a look sharper than knives while I tried not to laugh and Hau did the same. When we were sure no one could see us so about an hour after we left me and Gladion beat the crap out of Dexio as he begged for mercy. "If you do that again we'll make sure that camera goes down your throat" we said in sync "okay" he coughed on the floor. An hour and thirty minutes in and four of us are looking worse for wear, the two exeptions being Gladion and Kiawe "dude how are you not hot? Asked hau. "I guess I'm warm and mildly uncomfortable" he said then looked down at us "but why I don't look like I'm about to die from heatstroke, I don't know" he shrugged.

"We only have thirty minutes left we can push through!" Said a determined Lillie "yeah!" Shouted Dexio. Once we had gotten there the four of us were sweating, panting messes but composed ourselves in less than a minute. "We're here" I exclaimed then did an over dramatic bow in front of them "lady and gentlemen welcome one welcome all to 'The mouth of lava.'"
