So uhh... yeah, pretty much. I don't own Naruto :')
Sakura was always madly in love with the Uchiha's second heir, always gave him her bento, always dawned over him. "Sasuke-kun, have my bento..." she would say, only to get it thrown back at her face. She would shuffle home dejectedly, play with her dollies, have dinner with her family, then go to bed. On this particular day, the sun shining way overhead, little Sakura's routine was interrupted- when she got home, her parents were gone, which was usual for this time of day, but what wasn't usual was the short ANBU standing in the kitchen. When she had initially opened the door, they had sensed her approach and had simply stared at her. Sakura had been raised to respect ANBU, but still felt fear in their presences. She had known they lurked in the shadows, punishing naughty children, and her mind, although it was rational for a six-year-old's, still had a fleeting moment of are they taking me away? before she realised that she hadn't done anything bad for a while. So naturally, being the exemplary definition of young, respectable kunoichi, Sakura straightened her back, addressing them politely. "Excuse me, ANBU-san, but is something wrong?" The older ninja looked down at her, unmoving, then knelt in front of her.
"Are you Haruno Sakura-san?" The little girl nodded, getting especially worried. The cat-masked nin began removing his mask, much to Sakura's shock, but what laid behind the mask made her jaw drop to the ground. He was beautiful; the embodiment of Aphrodite. The first thing she noticed was his eyes, so much like her crush's, and yet so different. They shared the same shape and shade, but the creases around the boy's eyes showed a deep longing, for something Sakura did not know. His eyes were encircled with fine lashes, glimmering lightly in the kitchen's bright interior, and two long tear troughs fell from his eyes. He smiled, tired eyes closing as the corners of his mouth pulled up ever so slightly. "I apologise, but I'll get in trouble if I tell you anything, so you're just going to have to trust me, alright?" His voice, although it was already relatively soft, had smoothed out, calming the child. She smiled shyly back at him, nodding.
"I trust you, ANBU-san, but what about my parents? They'll be angry if they come home and I'm not here," her own voice was soft and high-pitched, like a bell, any shrieking used to 'woo' Sasuke dismissed. The boy's smile faltered, ever so slightly.
"Don't worry; everything's under control." Sakura watched as he stood up and offered a hand, which she took, leading her to the door and slipping his mask back into position.
