Unexpected turn

As i continued walking down the hall way trying to stick to myself and not bumb into anyone,  turned a few corners getting to my next class, as i walked in i oticed only a few more seats open towards the back window side, I took my seat there. I hoped that no one would want to sit near the windows cause it was cold out. Just my luck though, i thought wrong. Seth walked right over to where i was and took the seat next to me. I just sat there thinking about how different i was and how my life was when i was poked.

"what?" i turned to face seth

"are you okay? he sounded worried at first then i seen him smile

"Yea.. im fine" i lied i wasnt okay. I was never 'okay'. I wanted everything back to the way it was before i moved here. I mostly wanted my life back again. I knew that i wouldnt get it here though. I sat there staring at the teacher talking bout what we'll be learning this year for the next hour. Once the bell rang i walked out slowly hoping that i wouldnt be bumped into. That didnt go as planned though. Seth playfully bumped into my arm.

"Dakota, whats the rush? "

"what? theres no rush just trying to not be late." i said as i lifted my hood over my head staying hid.

"oh, okay." he said still walking beside me.

We just walked to our next class, Oh great P.E. I didnt want people to see my body or my scars. Seth and I parted and turned into different locker rooms. I didnt change out, just sat my bag down and left to the field to listen some more.As they took roll, more and more girls were looking at me. 'My life sucks" i thought. i couldnt wait for the day to be over.

As the day came to an end, the last bel rang and I took my time walking out and again i got more stares from girls. I just wanted to get out of there. I went out to the bus and took it to my stop, as i was getting off i seen my foster mother bring out my dog. I smiled i thought i lost him forever.When i got off i called him over to me, beside the bus. He came running like he always did.

"Hey boy, i missed you so much. I thought I lost you forever" I said to him, as he kept licking me.I got up and started for the house, "Com'on  boy lets go" he came running next to me.

"brenda, I wanted to say thankyou for getting him back for me, i know im new here and all but after what happened i thought they would've done something to him by now." i said smiling at her.

"well, they were gunna put him down. But i talked to them forever and decided that he'd be best with you anyday." She hugged me and went back to taking out the trash.

"CHARLIE!" i called and sure enough he came running to my room with drool everywhere. He was my most precious thing i could have in my life right now, besides my parents.Even though they did take turns beating my sister and I, its like i have no choice but to love them. They did bring me into this world after all.
