clicking his tongue, the older lightly punched his arm. ❝don't jinx it!

although, taeyong did really hope and prayed to the gods above that he'll never meet that guy ever again.

taeyong is actually living an okay lifestyle. he didn't mind having countless of part time jobs to be able to pay for their rent, for him to provide for their food, and to pay for his college expenses. he was already a graduating student and he planned to be a professor at that one institution he wanted to go to but sadly, he wasn't financially prepared for it. even though, he was alright with being in a university enough to be able to finish and get his diploma so he could apply a job in that dream school of his.

then comes his mother, a woman in an age around her late thirties. having her husband leaving her the moment she bore a son, leaving her take care of taeyong alone. unfortunately for her, she was kicked out from her house and was disowned by her family the moment they found out about her having a son. she was too young for it, not being able to finish her studies because of it. she had to work twice in everything just to give her son what he needed, promising herself that no matter what happens, she'll never leave by his side.

wanting to return back the favor, taeyong started to find part time jobs at the age of fifteen. he first worked at an ice cream parlor where he's just asked to clean the place, and that's where he met yuta. that person really loved ice cream that he kept on visiting the place, talking to taeyong if he had the time. then the two started to get close the moment they met in their first years in college, the two sticking to each other like glue.

that didn't last long till yuta was scouted to audition and it lead him to what he is now, a talented actor who would always bring the two of them running in a marathon whenever they hang out.

yuta!

taeyong's mother then came out from the kitchen after packing out the things she needed when they move in to a new house they'd be staying. hopefully, it'll be much more comfortable than living in this small, and in the brink of breaking, apartment of theirs.

you've grown so well!❞ she complimented, raising both her hands and cupped the japanese's face.

the actor chuckled, ❝we just met yesterday, mrs. lee.

the woman gasped, covering his mouth. ❝oh, right! you were here to pick taeyong up.❞ she them covered it up with her contagious laugh, also making the two boys smile at her. but yuta was soon taken aback when he saw that smirk on her face. ❝how was your date?

instead of letting yuta filter his words and convince his own mother that the date went well, taeyong beat him to it. ❝great! we actually got to exercise after our meal.

even though he really didn't get to finish his food. remembering it made him frown, poor food.

the mother giggled, doing her habit of slapping an arm whenever she laughs. it just so happens, it's the actor's arm. ❝you guys really love to exercise in your dates.

not really. it's more likely them not having a choice but to run away.

anyways, i'll go first to the car, alright?❞ the mother then faced yuta and gave him a grateful smile, holding his hand and letting him now how thankful she was. ❝thank you for offering us a ride, yuta.
