ARC 13 : GHOST ASSISTANT

After searching for a long while, Shang Ke found a body that barely met the requirement. The person was brain dead. His soul has already disappeared and could only depend on machines to sustain his life.

He looked around 20 and was handsome. His family background should be pretty good judging by the luxury ward he was staying in and the expensive treatment cost. Shang Ke then looked at how long he had been staying in the hospital. It has been almost 2 years.

One can see that his family love him very much since they haven’t given up treatment even after so long. However, they didn’t know that their child can no longer wake up.

“Yun Kexu…” Shang Ke read his name softly. He will go back and investigate his identity and family situation first. If this person isn’t involved in any complicated trouble, then Shang Ke would use his body to revive.

After solving one problem, Shang Ke returned back to the consulting room Shao Feidu was in.

Shao Feidu’s eyes were locked firmly on Shang Ke the moment he floated in. The uneasiness that was hidden in Shao Feidu’s eyes disappeared quickly after seeing Shang Ke.

The old doctor gave Shao Feidu a series of inspections and tests based on the record Shang Ke made. Finally, he noted down his medical advice in the chip and passed it to Shao Feidu. He exhorted, “Pass this to the person taking care of you. I believe he knows what to do. I believe that you will recover very soon with him guiding you. Good luck child.”

The old doctor showed Shao Feidu a gentle smile.

Shao Feidu looked up slowly and his line of sight stayed on the old doctor’s face for a while. Then, he stood up and left the clinic.

Ever since he was 14, there was only Mu Zhen, the assistant and the housemaid by his side. Apart from Shang Ke, this is the first time he felt true goodwill from a stranger.

Shang Ke was right. The outside world wasn’t as scary as he thinks.

After leaving the hospital, Shang Ke brought Shao Feidu to walk around the city. He let Shao Feidu buy things in the mall, eat in a restaurant and take the train himself… All these lasted until dusk before Shang Ke brought Shao Feidu back to the sports car and returned back to the villa.

Shao Feidu looked at the sun setting in the distance. His eyes were bright and one could tell he was very happy.

However, all this happiness disappeared the moment he returned back to the villa. Mu Zhen was back and there was also assistant Gibbs who was standing beside him with an ugly expression.

“Where did you go young master Du?” Mu Zhen rebuked, “Don’t you know how dangerous it is outside? How am I supposed to explain to Mr Shao if something happens to you?”

Shao Feidu seemed like he didn’t hear Mu Zhen and walked right past him.

“Stop!” Mu Zhen stopped him and glanced suspiciously at him. “Usually, you don’t even dare to step out of the door alone. Why have you suddenly gone out today? Who took you out?”

Shao Feidu looked at the stairs in front of him and was quiet like a sculpture.

“Talk, you’re not mute!” Mu Zhen raised his voice. Something went wrong with his investment and this fellow still came and added trouble for him. How troublesome.

Shao Feidu gave him a cold glance.

Mu Zhen felt chills up his spine after being looked at by Shao Feidu. He immediately said in anger, “It has only been a few days since we last saw each other and you actually learned how to glare at someone! Have you finished composing the music I asked you to?”

Shao Feidu has never stared at someone in the eye before. However, the current him was staring at Mu Zhen with eyes as sharp as blades.

Don’t tell me his condition is improving? This isn’t good! Mu Zhen was secretly alarmed.

“From today onwards, you’re not allowed to go out of the villa without my permission.” Mu Zhen said with a tone that didn’t allow any rejection, “I will hire a few bodyguards for you and they will be in charge of protecting you.”

Shao Feidu was silent for a moment before suddenly spitting out three words, “I don’t want any.”

“What?” Mu Zhen was stunned. He never thought that he would oppose it.

 
“This is my villa. I don’t want any bodyguards.” Shao Feidu looked at him again. His gloomy eyes coupled with his cold expression and tall figure gives people an indescribable sense of oppression.

“You… you…” Mu Zhen looked at him nervously and was momentarily speechless.

 
Gibbs who was at the side also had a face full of astonishment. He had been working at Shao Feidu’s side for so long and this was the first time he heard him say such a long sentence. In addition, his pronunciation was clear and he was speaking smoothly, almost the same as a normal person.

Seeing this, Shang Ke happily gave Shao Feidu two big thumbs up.

After Shao Feidu finished speaking, he no longer cared about Mu Zhen. He turned and headed towards his room.

Mu Zhen stood there blankly for a long time. Then, he turned and glared at Gibbs. “What exactly is going on? Didn’t I ask you to install cameras? Why didn’t you notice any abnormality at all?”

Gibbs said with a long face, “There was really nothing on the camera.”

“Email me all the surveillance recordings, I will check it personally.” Mu Zhen gave a quick glance upstairs, then lowered his voice and said, “Young master Du has finished his medicine, go get more from Dr Xu.”
