Every day was practucally on repeat for the heir. Get up, shower and get dressed, check out some emails while eating breakfast, brushing his teeth and hurriedly going out of the front door of his mansion to pick up a coffee and go to his offices. In reality, he didn't even need to go to his offices- he could work from home, after all. But it was always better to get out of the house he hated so much. Not that he was complaining, but sometimes he could use with a break, even if it was for a short time.
His days were becoming more monotone by the minute, and frankly he has had enough of it. Not that he could do anything about it, of course. But maybe someone else could.

Dressed in a fine suit, some papers tucked underneath his arm, Byakuya made his way down the busy streets of Tokyo, arguing with someone over the phone. He has been consumed in work since he woke up, and he was grateful he could even go to college today. Pushing the door open to the small café, he stepped inside and went off his phone under the weak excuse of "Excuse me, I have another call to take. I'll be right back with you." The disgruntled caller reluctantly hung up and Byakuya let out a sigh of annoyance. Being an heir to a massive conglomerate wasn't exactly a life of roses and honey. He walked up to the cashier, not even paying them a glance. Usually there would be a short brunette at the counter who knew his order of by heart now.
"The usual, please." This time though, things were different.
"Ahaha... you see I'm new... I don't really know the regulars that well." A male voice answered. That snapped Byakuya out of his shuffling through papers. He gave the person behind the counter a quick glance, his electric blue eyes practically scanning him. The barista gave a nervous chuckle and rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. Quite the muscular build, purple hair that defied gravity, a stupid goatee and pretty lilac eyes... Wait, what?

"I suppose you are new." Togami concluded after a few seconds. He mentally scolded himself for thinking about the new guy's features in such depth. "Well then. A trenta macchiato with a quadruple shot." The blonde said quickly, taking out his card and swiping it across the scanner. Judging the barista's face, it wasn't everyday that someone ordered enough caffeine to keep them up all month.
"That... are you sure..?" He asked nervously, causing Byakuya to roll his eyes.
"Look..." He took a moment to read his nameplate, "Kaito. I have that on a daily basis. Hasn't killed me and it won't kill me. So do your job and make me the damned coffee." He didn't try to snap at the male, but his words came out impatient and cold. As much as he'd like to be kind, he needed his coffee now or else he would be late. Kaito gave a terrified glance before starting to make the coffee. Just the smell of it made Byakuya relax and close his eyes for a minute or two. Thank god this wasn't a busy café.

"So, why'd you look so mad when you walked in..?" The other asked in an attempt to start a conversation. The blond opened his eyes and shot him a glance before looking at the papers in his hand. "Work." He answered simply, flicking through a few pages. Kaito simply nodded and went back to the machine.
"What kind of work?" He asked, still not giving in. To the stubborness Byakuya responded with a sigh and a roll of his eyes.
"Company things. Nothing that should concern the general public." He replied with a bored tone, quickly checking the time on his watch. If this guy could take any slower then he would surely be late.
"...Wait, so are you some bigshot CEO?" Kaito almost yelled after a moment of digesting Togami's words. The heir scoffed in disgust as the barista turned around and gave him his coffee.
"Tch. Not just 'some' CEO. The best of the best." The purple-haired man let out a small chuckle before giving a bright smile.
"If ya say so, Mr. CEO!" For whatever reason there was, that smile made his chest flutter with some unknown emotion. Probably just his coffee addiction making itself heard.

Just as he was going to leave, Kaito called out to him.
"Hey, can I get your name if you're a regular?" Byakuya placed his phone to his chest for one moment before answering back.
"The name's Byakuya." He left shortly after, leaving Kaito grinning a little. Today certainly was different.
