"Hailey! Look at me!"My mother snapped. "Hailey!"
I turned towards her.
"Yes?"
"Pack your bags."
"What?!"
"Your moving out."
"WHAT?!"
"You don't need us. Your 18."
"Yeh, and going into college! I do need you!"
"Hailey, Hailey, Hailey. We only adopted you because we wanted to tease the neighbours that we had kids and they didn't."
Tears were escaping in droplets as I whispered, "I don't have anything to pack."
"Oh don't give me that!" She slapped me.
"I give you plenty of things. Food, water, and...love!"
"No. You don't. You don't care for me, you don't love me.You just said! So why should I do anything else for you?!"
"Because your my daughter!" She began to embrace me in a hug until I said,
"No. I'm not your daughter. I'm homeless now." And I pushed her away, and walked out the door.

The cold bit at my nose as I stepped out. Gosh, the weather had dropped quickly. Luckily the one pair of shoes I had were boots, and not slip ons. I trudged through the grass, feeling the crust of old dry grass beneath my feet. I winced as my ankle snapped right, shooting pain up my leg.

But I kept walking.

I don't know where I was going, until I realised I had $10 in my pocket. Wait! No. $20. Wait! Where is this coming from?

$120?!

I gasped, leaving a white cloud where I took my sharp intake of breath. I have to go to the thrift shop. There I can bye some clubbing clothes.

I walked into the shop, the casual bell ringing as I stepped on the doormat. I steps around, looking for something sexy. Maybe, then someone will take me home with them.

I settled on two dresses-a black short leather one, and a red mid thigh length. I also got high heel boots for $10 and stilettos for $5. I ALSO got a pair of black leggings and some cheap~but good~ makeup. Everything I could pay for, but in the end I had $10 left. So, I got a bright red lipstick. And push up bra.

I left, feeling pleased with my self.

That night I was going to a club. It's called "The box." It's the most popular club in town, and you got invited in if you were wearing something that guys liked. It was part of the rules. There was always a boy standing at the door, always 18 or 19, waiting. That night I creeped into my house, grabbed food, money, a few clothes, shoes, my phone, and my credit card and wallet. I put all the clothes in a bag, and got changed.

I walked out, slamming the door.

I could hear my mother yelling at my father to "get up there is a frigging robber in the house!" I chuckled at myself, knowing how stupid they were.

When I could see the box I parked my stuff~not my phone and wallet~into an alley way. I always went clubbing. I am proud of my body, it is my strength.

I walked up to the door, showing off my tanned legs. The boy grinned, and showed me the way in. "Have fun." He whispered as he left.

I strode up to the dance floor, my stilettos clicking, but sounding small as the music pumped louder. My black dress was rubbing against my thighs, getting higher as I walked. I pulled it down a bit, scratching my leg as I went. Good going, Hailey. I thought to myself as I started dancing. Nobody else was~I didn't care.

I felt the beat flowing through my bones, forcing myself to sway and throw my arms up. I closed my eyes, feeling my hair jingle around me, in waves of deep velvet red.

I let out a laugh, heads turning towards me. I let loose, reaching for the freeness that flowed through the air. My arms moved to the beat, feeling free and like I can do anything. I looked down at the dance floor, covered in fake stars, like the painted sky tonight.
Then I realised,

This is where I could be free.

Okay guys, I'm adding a new character, and he is the POV in the next chapter. You won't know who he is-so don't worrying. I'm really sorry the first chapter was really small, and I'm going to make the next few really good reads I promise~😉 love you guys! xxx
