My eyes ran wide open, it was finally the day. I stretched and got out of my twin bed tired as ever. It was still a little fresh in my mind, their deaths. I looked over to my sisters bed. I marveled at how neat it looked because on most occasions, her side of the room was messy. Ever since the incident happened with my two sisters nothing was really the same in the family anymore. My friend, Lunes, began coming over to my place a lot more. I guess it was her trying to show me sympathy while making up for the lost time. I stuck my feet out of the covers and immediately felt the soft breeze of the air conditioner.
"The time is here!" I thought to myself. I stood up, my legs feeling a little weak. My drawers were already open from yesterday when I was organizing. So really all I had to do was get my clothing. I look at myself in the mirror and I can see myself. My mirror isn't that large but that's ok cause it helps with my petite figure. I'm wearing a reddish pink shirt and ripped jeans.
"Nena! Lunes is here to pick you up." My mother yelled. To be honest I was so tired I just didn't feel the need to reply. I knew I had to rush but replying was just a waste of my energy. "Nena!" she yelled again.
"Yes Guici, ill be down soon."I replied with anguish. The brown bag I packed full of snacks, water, and girl things was laying on the floor. I snatched it up and ran for the door, nearly tripping down the stairs. Without even a heartbeat I ran to my parents, said my farewells and went outside to meet up with my long time friend, Lunes.
"Come on Elena we are going to be late for the meet and great party!" Lunes said as she kissed the air.
Oh right I forgot to tell you, Lunes and I have been invited to a once in a lifetime party to meet a select amount of celebrities. To tell the truth I wasn't that exited cause all the craze for celebrities now a days is for rappers. I miss the days of pop. We entered her fathers big white truck and immediately I was slapped in the face by the strong smell of those dumb little pine tree scenters. Her dad had a weird obsession for those things. Her father's trucks finally made it into downtown LA where the party was being held.
"So does anyone know where this place is?" Lunes's father, Jackson, said.
"The invitation in the gmail says here that its on Maple street at a library." I said.
"A Library Lunes? You told me this was a meet and greet." Jackson expressed irately. Lunes and I looked at each other worried. Were we even sure this event was real? Or was it our friend Alex pranking us again with a fake message. I swiftly came up with an excuse, for if this was truly fake the amount of embarrassment I would feel would immensely weigh me down.
"Yea it is held at a library." I said as a cringed at the sad excuse that he soon believed. When we approached the address he told us to be careful and to not talk to strangers, but we already knew that. The neighborhood was very nice, when Lunes and I stepped out of the truck we smelt the wafting scent of fresh lavender. We approached the Library with caution but we were soon immediately calmed down when we saw a line of people waiting outside to get in.
"We made it just in time Elena!" Lunes said to me excitedly. By the time we made it in it was already around noon and the place was marvelous. It looked nothing like a library. There was a dance floor in the middle, refreshments off to the side and celebrities all around. We had spotted people like Taylor swift and Tyler the creator. Lunes hoped desperately for BTS to be there but we both knew that'd be too hard to make happen. After a long time we finally came up to the last celebrity. He had grimy hair and he was covered in tatoos. I personally had no clue who he was, neither did Lunes.
"Is that even a celebrity?" Lunes asked me.
"Well I suppose so since everyone is gathered around him." I replied to her.
It was our turn to meet him now and as we approached he just kind of stared at Lunes. It was creepy but we put it off. One of his managers came up to talk to him as he was talking to us and we could tell he wasn't happy about that. There was something about him that was off putting.
I said to Lunes," We should just leave, hes making me uncomfortable and hes not even that known so i'm sure it would not hurt to not get his autograph."
Exactly as I said that his face went flat and he face palmed his manager to get him to shutup then turned around and stared at lunes and I. "Im not that well known??! WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT FAME YOU DUMB ASS GIRL! I WORKED FOR THIS ALL MY LIFE AND ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS THAT IM CREEPY?!ILL TEACH YOU, HAHAHAHAHH POST MALONE WILL TEACH YOU" The celebrity said as the crowd began to dull down.
"No no wait i'm sorry, I just meant 'I' as a person do not know you" I said as I was trembling from fear.
"Well maybe you should." He said as he continued to stare at Lunes and I. We could tell he was getting restless but didn't know what to do. His manager was on the floor bleeding from a broken nose and then Post Malone pulled something from his pocket.
"Is is that a--" Lunes tried saying before he came at us with a blue and silver pocket knife.
"The whole crowd began screaming including us and they all circled around him to help us escape. No fatalities or injuries were recorded but it was said he had a mental break on the news. But to be honest, over time we found out it was more than just a mental break.
Lunes dragged me and we both ran to the streets where we saw a taxi. The taxi was checkered yellow and black and the license plate read TXILUV101. We rushed into it and left without even giving a thought for the fact Lunes's dad was waiting in the parking lot for us. The taxi man looked extraordinarily creepy but at least point we didn't care. It was about 3 hours till we entered San Diego.
"What even happened to us just now Elena, I swear to gosh that was the scariest moment of my life." Lunes expressed to me. Once the driver entered our part of town he asked where we needed to go.
"Uhh..." I stuttered. "The downtown Museum and Emporium please." I said as I just remembered something.
"What the hell Elena? The museum?!" Lunes whispered angrily.
"Ok well you're gonna have to pay me extra cause that place is out of the way, bud." The taxi driver said.
"SHIT! ELENA, WE LEFT MY DAD THERE"Lunes yelled into my ear.
I slapped my face."Shoot OK well there's no going back, god knows where Post Malone is. Our best bet is to just go to the museum. I told the taxi driver to go there because my parents are there for Chabby's birthday."
"Oh that's right, well um okay, but we can not tell them right now. We must vow to keep what happened to us a secret." Lunes said to me. I agreed but did not feel like making that clear because something in my heart thought it was wrong to lie to my parents. Then... we arrived. Little did we know, this part in the story would change everything for us, our whole lives.
