Chapter 1 - Meeting new people + Bonus

... My name is Adonis. My life is ... Well, normal. I guess. I wake up, go to work and I think you know how it ends. Basically, it's that cycle over and OVER again ... But two people changed that. And now, I need to deal with their bullshit. 

Oh well, I guess I can't complain. Not that I loved my life before that happened. Anyway, I guess I'll start saying what happened from the start... 

Back to almost 3 years ago.

Narrator's POV:

Adonis was walking back from his work, he seemed as tired as ever. After a while, someone bumped into him. He glared, turning around and saying:

" Oi, watch where you're going! "

" Jeez... Chill, wolfie! I just casually bumped into you with TOTALLY not a single intention of robbing you! "

He raised an eyebrow, soon thinking - " Does he really think I'm THAT stupid? " - Adonis rolled his eyes, soon enough teleporting behind the  stranger.

" Nice attempt. But I'm not stupid. "

" Uhhh- Would you believe me if I said I was joking? "

The stranger asked. Chuckling nervously.

" Give me two reasons to believe you. "

" Well, for YOUR information, I am a secret agent from Na- "

" Oh, then I am the president of CANDYLAND. "

He simply stared at Adonis, with a dumb smile on his face. To soon start running away. He ran like his life was depending on it. Adonis just glared, and continued to head home. All of this was making him tired, and probably continue to lose hope on humanity.

 Some time later, he walked over to a shop. Buying some stuff he needed... Adonis placed his gun on the counter, a girl staring at him with a "WTF" face.

" Why in the world do you bring a gun... IN THE MIDDLE OF A BOOKSHOP? "

Adonis turned to the girl, glaring.

" Look, if I were you, I wouldn't get into other people's BUSINESS and I would leave them be in peace. So please, don't bother me. "

The girl glared back, offended. She didn't seem so happy with Adonis's answer. She soon said.

" If you don't get rid of that gun in this instant, I'll call the authorities! "

" The authorities won't do anything... They're useless. "

The girl frowned, soon answering.

" Lies! They protect us from people like you! "

Adonis placed his hand on her shoulder, he seemed very upset.

" Look, if the authorities actually did something ... They would help the people infected and NOT send them to rot in jail. "

She was silent. Adonis just smirked and bought a book... Before leaving. He continued to walk, heading home. Of all the days, why on an amazing friday? Why not on a Sunday? Oh well. He sighed, it was now 7 PM... He walked past the Police Office, wait a minute... Something's wrong here... Adonis backed away, looking up.. There was a figure... standing on top of the building... what the fuck?! It's him! The stranger! He teleported up, glaring.

" What the hell are you doing up here!? "

" It's simple, wolfie! I am just above the law! "

The stranger snorted, Adonis still processing the pun. Eventually Adonis's eyes widened. He frowned, glaring at him. The stranger laughed.

" The amazing Lumen did it again! "

Adonis just frowned, kicking him off the building. Lumen's eyes widened... Eventually, some paper flying out of his pockets... They formed an exact shape of a small cushion, catching Lumen safely. Adonis teleported down.

" What the fuck dude!? "

" That wasn't funny. And don't do that again, you'll probably get hurt. "

" Ohhhh, so you do have emotions! "

" No I don't. I just don't want to carry you to the hospital next time  I see you. "

Lumen snickered, Adonis just frowned. Continuing to walk, however ... Lumen followed him. Soon asking some questions.

" Soo.... What's your name? "

" Why do you care- "

" -Hi 'Why do you care'! I'm Lumen! "

Adonis frowned, glaring. He grabbed him by the collar. Soon saying.

" Look, don't think you're so smart around me. If I wanted to, I could simply beat you up. Right here. Right now. And no one could hear you and/or save you. "

Lumen just continued with his innocent smile, a small paper dagger forming on his hand.

" Anddd... I can paper cut your life off! "

Adonis just rolled his eyes, noticing that his threats didn't work. He just dropped him and started to walk away. Lumen smiled, following.

" Sooo.... What's your actual name? "

" If I tell you, will you leave me in peace? "

" Probably not, but sure! "

He sighed.

" My name is Adonis- "

" Donis? "

" No- "

" Oh sorry! My bad! Donut? "

" N O. "

Lumen giggled, soon continuing to speak.

" Fine! Fine! I'm just kidding! Nice to meet'cha Adonis! "

" ... I hate you. "

" Aww! I think you're cool too! "

Adonis eventually walked home, Lumen soon heading back to his. He laid down on his bed... Thinking. All of this was confusing... Just.. Why? Oh well. He didn't consider Lumen as a friend. Did he...?
