If your slime gets hard, add glycerin or hair gel. Only some brands of hair gel work, though.

You can microwave to soften the slime if it gets hard as well, but it won't last as long. The lotion works, too, but not as well as hair gel or glycerin.

Don't add too much activator; just add some and knead it with your hands the rest of the way to soften.

If your slime melts, add more activator. Or, you can give it a makeover! There are many youtube videos of slime makeovers that can be used as inspiration.

Adding sprinkles or glitter on the top of slimes make nice decorations for pictures and stuff. Slime can be very aesthetic.
