FULL DISCLOSURE: This fanfic is not for the faint of heart and is not intended for a younger audience. Also want to make a note that this is not based off a real story or anything. Just my mind wandering places after spending nearly all of my existence watching and reading horror content.

Let's begin.

Enjoy :)

The hole in the floor was barely noticeable when they first walked in. In fact, they didn't even spare it a first glance until the second eldest of the three; Haley, tripped over a jagged edge that stood tall against the wood floor and pushed her down by catching the end of her pant leg. Her knees suffered the blow; small, but steady beads of blood took their time trailing down her legs.

After she straightened herself up, gave her knees a quick harsh rubbing, Haley swiftly turned back to shine her flashlight in the hole's direction. There wasn't anything unusual about it.

It was, well, a hole.

And what's interesting about a hole?

Not much of anything.

Eason, the eldest of the three led the way, acting as the protector of the small band of adventurers. Next up was Maya, sandwiched between the two older children, seeing as Eason thought it would be better to have the youngest in the middle. Haley came lastly, shining her flashlight behind them and keeping her guard up.

Remember, they were always told to stay away.

The hole was three inches bigger then the first time they passed by the small entrance.

They didn't spare the dark, ragged circle another glance, them all concluding that it was Haley's trip that made the hole larger. The floor was rotting, you gotta remember that detail.

The walls of the house were old, caked in dust and covered in the same fancy wallpaper I'm most certainly convinced that all old houses have. You know, the one with the half naked baby angels and repeating flower patterns? The ones that seem to follow you with their black, beady, little eyes? Yah, those ones.

Every room on the bottom floor had a different style of baby angels and flower patterns. The patterns were different, and yet; they all matched together. Even the kitchen had that not so friendly looking wallpaper covering its layers.

The furniture; what was left, of course, wasn't very impressive. The house had been properly looted a long time ago. The remaining pieces of furniture had seen better days. Every surface in the house had several thick cake layers of dust covering them and any dust that hadn't landed yet, could be seen floating around in the soft wind coming through the many broken and shattered windows.

Their steps were slow, doing so to not chance the floor caving in. They weren't big people by any means, but after years and years of weather pouring down on the house; it didn't hurt to be careful.
