The Beginning Of Everything

It was afternoon and I was at the market doing some grocery shopping.

While I was searching for an eggplant I felt like I was being watched. I just shrugged it off. 'Probably just my head playing games'.

After I was done and was paying at the cash register I looked over my shoulder and saw someone grinning while waving at me. My face automatically brightened. I quickly took the change and the bags and ran over to the person with a wide smile.

When I reached I placed the bags on the ground and hugged her.

"Y/N! It's so nice to see you again! How is break? Anything exciting happened?!" She said with a big smile on her face.

"Haha, it's nice to see you again too Yejin! I missed you so much!" I said to her while pulling away from the hug.

"I missed you too girl! Now what did you do in break? School is almost starting!"

"I just helped my parents in the house and took some strolls around the village." I said while lightly shrugging my shoulders.

Yejin's face fell a bit and gave me a face saying 'really?' I just sheepishly smiled at her shrugging my shoulders again.

"Are you serious? Why didn't you at least participate in the activities of the last couple weeks?!" Yejin said while scoffing.

"I don't need to! I'm fine staying home and helping mom and dad." I chuckle at her behaviour.

"You're so boring, I swear to god Y/N! We are going out today after you bring your groceries home!"

"But-"

"No buts! Go, go, go, go!! Hurry up!" She pushed my shoulders while I tried to pick up the bags from the ground.

Time skip

After we dropped the groceries home, Yejin helped me put everything in their places.

Oh! I forgot to introduce her to you guys! Meet Yejin, my bestest best friend! I've known her since kindergarten and we immediately hit it off, we always were together. We didn't need anyone else but each other. We are like family. I wouldn't trade the world for her. She has been there for me since day one and always had my back, like I had hers.
We are both currently 20 years old, but she is older by a couple months.

I let my parents know I was going to hang out with Yejin for the rest of the day. I had no idea where we're going to go to, but knowing Yejin it must be fun.

Time skip

We arrived at a lake where you could see some people of our age swimming or sunbathing. This is what I needed, a refreshing swim. I turned to Yejin with a smile.

"You know, you know me the best. This is exactly what I needed, but I don't have a swimsuit with me."

I said a bit sulking.

"Don't worry Y/N, you have a swimming store right there. We can get our stuff there! Come on!"

Yejin took my hand and pulled me to the shop while laughing, me joining her. We pretty much spend the whole afternoon swimming, and I can tell you that it was the highlight of the break. In two days school starts again and I can't wait to see everyone again. Not that I have many friends, but just enough for me to survive school life. Their names are obviously Yejin, Seolhyun and Beomgi. If you are wondering, yes, Beomgi is a guy. If I'm honest, Beomgi is my best friend after Yejin. He understands me so well and I can share everything with him, just like Yejin. Only difference is that he's a guy and I can't tell everything to a guy and it's just that I know Yejin the longest.
