Chapter One

Dear Mrs. Oikawa,

We are overjoyed to announce that your children, Tooru and Hana, have been accepted into the prestigous academy of Satsujin. Only few are selected in the country every year, so this is an opportunity you don't want to miss.

We invite your whole family to the orientation this tomorrow. We hope to see you there!

"We got accepted into Satsujin?" Hana asked in disbelief. "Mom, you must be joking. I thought only the best get into that school?"

"But you're good at almost anything!" Tooru replied. Hana chuckled "I know. I was asking about you." She laughs and sticks her tongue out.

Only the BEST of the BEST get accepted into Satsujin Academy. It's a boarding school where all your academic expenses are paid by the government themselves. Imagine that, free school?

"Yes! You children got chosen to study there!" The mother said with glee. Tooru and Hana were confused. No doubt, they were happy! But the idea worried them. Being sent away to a school and being away from everyone, it scared them.

"Oh c'mon!" The mother said "Cheer up and get ready for bed. Tomorrow is the start of your new life at Satsujin!" She pushed the youngsters upstairs to their rooms.

"Nii-san, can you believe it? We got chosen for Satsujin!" Hana said as she looked up at the bunk above her. Tooru looked down at his sister and smiled "I know! It's quite awesome!"

The young duo laughed in excitement for their new school. It excited them that being at a young age of 13 and 15, they get to go to a grand school without their parents!

"I heard that the school is really big and they don't focus on normal subjects like math. I wonder what they do there...nobody really talks about what goes on in there..." Hana said and started to ponder.

What happens there?

Will she see her friends again?

Will she see her parents again?

What if the other students are mean!

I wonder how big the rooms are!

The children closed their eyes and wondered about what their new life would be. It all starts tomorrow...how exciting! Slowly after, their minds wander off into dreamland.

Hana's POV

I was woken up by my mom entering our room and pulling the curtains open. "Time to wake up!" She said and walked over to our bunk bed.

"C'mon! Today is your orientation for Satsujin, remember?"

That's right! I almost forgot! The orientation for one of the best schools in the country is today!

I smiled and sprung out of bed. I climb up the ladder to Tooru's bed. "Nii-san! Wake up! We need to get ready for Satsujin!" I shouted and pulled his blanket off. He groaned and pulled his legs to his chest as the cold air passed him.
