whatever i have in my hands, i pull back hard, leaving what i've got in my hands and myself tangled on the hard ground. my vision clears and i feel him in my arms, both our chests moving rapidly.

i look down and see him, blood trickling down his temple. he's going to pass out. right as we make eye contact, his eyes shut and his breathing calms. he's unconscious.

i think of calling the police, but his injury is minor. i could easily fix him up, and maybe we can be friends after this.

i take action, and drag him to my car, being careful to not make any scratches or make his head worse. i put him in the back seat so he can rest peacefully. i drive home, trying to hurry so i could clean him up.

i look at the sky, dark with specks. it seems as there becomes more specks by the second. it's crazy to think there's billions of stars out there, although we can only see a select few of them.

when i make it to my small house, i park the car and open the door, readying to bring the guy inside. i put my belongings on the kitchen table and scurry back to the car.

i open the back door and try my best to pick him up. i manage to carry him to the guest bedroom, and set him down without disturbing him.

i remember his forhead is injured, so i grab what i need to take care of him. i get a damp rag with soap and clean his wound, getting the blood off. once the blood is gone, i inspect the wound, and see it's not that big, not what i would've expected.

i get antiseptic lotion and spread it across the wound, and bring a bandage right on top of the wound. once i've finished cleaning him, i put everything i used back in it's place. now i wait for him to wake up.

maybe i should tidy up a bit, he's gonna be staying here for a couple of days, and i'm not letting him go until i know he's healed.

i start by putting unnecessary items that are out of place, in it's place. then i wipe down the tables and counters, then sweep. i already did the dishes, so i have one less chore to do today. once i've done all my chores, i go check up on the guy i saved.

i open the door and when i look in, he's panicking, not knowing he's in my house. he probably doesn't know this is my house, or that his wound is secured. he probably thinks someone has kidnapped him.

"hey," i speak, softly, to try to calm him down. his head snaps to me and his eyes soften. his breathing gets controlled and he leans back in the bed. "i uh, cleaned your," i point to my head to mirror his.

his hand reaches up to feel the bandage on it. after he rests his hand in his lap, he looks at me, analyzing my appearance. it gets a little awkward, so i put some action into place.

i walk over to him, his eyes following me very cautiously. i get to the bed and stick my hand out, waiting for him to take it.

"y/n," i introduce, so he knows i'm not a stranger. he takes my hand and shakes it as i smile warmly.

"nick," he says, barely audible. i let go of his hand, and turn to the door.

"it's kinda late, you should sleep more. in the morning i'll make breakfast ok?" i say. he just nods, and that's when i exit the room, leaving to let him have his peaceful slumber.
