1. Going to skool

"Uhmm.. Snacks??" She says embarrassed. You facepalm. "I'll have to run back home real quick. You just go to your class already okay?"

"But.. I don't know where anything I-" but she already ran off. You sigh as you look at the front of the school. The sign says "skool" you look at it for a bit. (A school named skool? How ironic). You walk inside after pushing open the heavy doors. A bunch of children are running around the halls and you're just kind of standing there awkwardly. You're too socially anxious to approach anyone. Actually until this point your mom and sister have been doing all this stuff for you. Even though unreliable at times, most of the times it worked out. Well, until now that is. As you're going around trying to talk to someone you spot a girl holding a gaming console. She clearly has a gothic clothing style and her sharp purple Bob cut fits really well with it. You can tell she's focusing hard by the way she's squishing her eyes at the console. She looks a little younger than you so you carefully walk over to her and gently tap her on the shoulder.

"H-hi! My name is uhh.. Y/N! I'm new here and uhm.. I'm kind of lost.." you say rubbing the back of your neck not directly looking at her face. She opens one of her eyes slightly, looking directly at you annoyed. The girl sighs and looks back at her console immediately.

"The names Gaz and that idiot going around yelling at other kids is my stupid brother Dib" she points at seemingly the guy who is her brother going around harassing other kids, by the looks of it.

"Oh" you didn't really know what to say.

"I'm telling you this, because everyone gets creeped out by my retarded brother, which is totally fair. I just wanted to give you a head start as a newbie" she smiles as she seems to have won her game. "-and also because I'm not in the mood to show anyone around, so I'll ask him" she then walks off towards her brother Dib. You're kind of dumbfounded, everything is going so fast. One second you lived in another town and now you're talking to some girl with a lunatic brother which you didn't even have the courage to talk to.

She comes back dragging him by the ear. "Dib this is Y/N or whatever and Y/N this is my stupid sibling I was talking to you about" she let's go of his ear.

"Hey!" He says clearly offended. "Mind you, I almost got someone to not ignore me" you wonder if that's something to be genuinely proud of.

In the hopes of being nice you just kind of said "good for you" with a smile (how passive aggressive that sounds, it comes over as genuine somehow). The boy is suddenly caught off guard by the sudden speech. You then get a good look at him. He has black hair with a slick back strand of hair on the top (that must've taken a lot of gel!). He also wears a long black coat and a blue t-shirt with a neutral smiley on it. He also wears glasses. He looks at you for a second and then blushes realizing what you just said.

Dibs POV

I was going around as usual trying to convince people Zim was an alien. Which he is!! Until Gaz walked up to me talking about some new student. I obviously had more important things on my mind, but Gaz being Gaz pulled me by the ear and forced me along with her. I was upset obviously and spoke my mind to her about it. I was expecting her to answer, but instead it came from another source. "Good for you" It was the new student.. A girl! I looked at her for a moment. Wow she's so pretty, but most importantly doesn't hate me yet! This is my chance to warn her!!

Your POV

I looked at him. He was quite tall compared to me. It suddenly got awkward, because everyone went silent. Well, that was until..

"You! There's an alien at this school!" He said as he grabbed me by the shoulders.

"Oh my god" Gaz just stood there, deadpanning her brother. So this is what she meant huh? "Literally if you could just not do that for one second, people would actually like you" she looks back at me. "Good luck and I'm sorry that you have to put up with my brother Dib. It's only for walking to your class anyway". I just looked at Dib awkwardly and smiled. Right after the bell rang

*Bing bong*

"Well that's my cue" Gaz then takes the opportunity to leave. Me and Dib both look at her walk away until we looked back at each other.

"Uhh.. So could you maybe show me where this class is?" I shakenly handed Dib the paper, still quite shook about the situation. He looks back and forth between the paper and me and then let's go of me.

"Oh uhh o-of course!" He grabbed the paper from my hands. It seems he also wasn't the best at communicating. Before he opens the paper he walked towards a hallway which I assume are where the classes are.

"So you're like.. Into supernatural junk?" I ask him politely. He then turns around looking right at me.

"Why?? Did Gaz tell you that?" He asked, pretty afraid of what you were going to answer.

You shake your head. "No I figured, because it seems like you're interested in, aliens?" I look up at him in curiosity. He then sighs in relief.

"Ah I was afraid Gaz already ruined my reputation before I could" he laughs awkwardly. I turn confused.

"What do you mean?" I ask him. "Unless you're talking about grabbing a stranger by the shoulders and screaming '' 'there's an alien at this school!' at them?" You joke.

"Well I mean there is! If only I could show you.." he then unfolds the paper I gave him and a big smile appears on his face. "actually I can!!" We both stop in our tracks. "How so?" You ask. "We're in the same class!" He answers all excited.

You don't know whether you should be concerned about the so called 'alien' at this school or Dib who is super excited for you to become his supernatural buddy for the rest of the school YEAR. What have I gotten myself into?

Oh boy this took a bit to write. 2500+ words is a good start I'd say haha. Like I said updates will be a bit slow due to school and such, but in the meantime I'll gladly take suggestions and feedback.
