Sage's P.O. V

I parked my car at the front porch and took all the things that I bought. It is only two days away from Christmas and I can't wait to have a party with my friends in the backyard. "SAGE PARKER!!!!" I looked up to where the voice came from. Of course it's no other than the annoying 16 yearl old kid(a.k.a) Clover Rainey. She is my neighbour and our parents knew each other. Her parents, Andrew Rainey and Shirley Rainey are great people. I've met with them when I went over to their house a couple of times to tutor Clover. She's stupid, annoying and always chattering but was not fazed by my hotness. Well...u see....I'm the hottest guy in my school. Even the nerds give me flirty smiles, winks and secret glances. Clover goes to a different school but since my mom adores her, she told me that I should tutor her as soon as she heard that Clover was weak in maths. Well...I might not be good at lessons at least better than her. Of course I am...I'm older than her by 2 years. I just simply ignored her but still, being the stupid girl she is, she just couldn't take a hint."SAGE!! Can u drive me to my friend's house?? I've already asked Patricia and David. They said yes and that you might be able to drive me there. Pleaseeeee!??" Patricia and David are my parents. She was shouting from her room, which was on the 2nd floor and was face to face with my room.

"Sure!! Whatever!" I shouted back and opened the door. " I'll come after dinner at nine okay?? Be ready!! ". Then she shut the door. What the fuck. I'll be the one who have to wait for her.

Dining dinner...my mom was praising Clover like "How sweet can she be?? She's so lively and don't forget how charming she is." I can't blame her though. Ever since I was born, she wanted a daughter but fate didn't favour her. She was blessed with another boy, Sean, my 10 year old lil' bro.

He's sweet but he gets along with Clover. She moved here about two years ago and since then she had been besties with Sean. My mom can't understand why I didn't like her. And now that I think about it, she had done nothing unpleasant towards me. She was never rude to me but what intrigued me was her uninterest in ME. I mean every girl in my school is dying to be my girlfriend. Maybe she just thinks of me as an older brother. Ugh...why am I even thinking about her? Why should I care about how she sees me?

After dinner I went out grabbing my beanie and parked my car in front of her house and honked three times. "Coming!!" came a cheery sing-song voice. Wow...I never knew that she sounded this good. I wonder how will it be like when she sings? 'Shut up inner mind!!!!' Then I saw her. She was wearing skinny jeans with knee high boots. She had at least three jackets on her. Her midnight black hair with purple highlights was bouncing up and down as she ran towards the car. She had a bag in her left hand and her phone in her right hand. Her cheeks were bright pink from the cold and looked as if she put on way too much blush. She looked really cute. Srsly?? Cute?? 'Fuck you inner mind'

"Now look who's late."

"Sorry...I was texting with Ryan"

"Yeah yeah whatever. No one cares. Shut the fuck up and get in the car." As soon as those words left my mouth, I felt bad. She looked up at me with her huge hazel brown orbs and I got lost in them. She cleared her throat and I snapped my head away from her. We both got into the car and I backed out from the pathway.

"Why are you always mean to me? I've never done anything wrong to you. Do u hate me that much?" Her voice just above a whisper. "Uh...sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." "Well...news flash you just did" An awkward silence filled the car and about fifteen minutes later I drove up to Chloe, her friend's house. I glanced her way and saw that she was dozing off. I never knew that she looked this pretty. I poked her arms and told her that we were there. I told her goodbye and she said the same thing.

When I got back home, I thought about her. Her smile, her laugh, her cheery words and of course her small body with just the right amount of curves. I was lying on my bed and decided to call her coz I was feeling bad about what she said on the car. I don't hate her. It's just I didn't take notice of her.

"Hey Clover. It's me Sage. I'm sorry about earlier. I just had some problems with my friends. You know how they are." Giggles and squeals loud enough to make my ears bleed erupted from the other side. " I'm so sorry Sage. Ahaha...he's so freaking funny!! Hehehe...OMG. It's okay Sage. I don't mind. Thanks for calling btw. Bye! Good night!" She ended the call and I smiled to myself.

"Aww....is Sage becoming a softie??" cooed Sean. "Get the fuck out of my room!!" I shouted while throwing a pillow at him. Then I fell asleep after thinking about Clover.

Clover's P.O.V

Chloe's father drove me back to my house at about 11 and  saw Patricia and David all dressed up near the porch . At first I called them Mr. and Mrs. Parker but they said it makes them feel old."Hi!! Where r u going??" Patricia turned to me and smiled. "Oh no...we just came back from my sister's house. How was the sleepover honey??" " It was fun. Where's Sage and Sean?" David had already went in so it was only me and Patricia. "They are still asleep. Lazy boys!! And oh! Before I forget. Tomorrow night, there'll be a Christmas party at the backyard. Can you make it??" "Of course Patricia. I can." "Okay. Sage will be there too!" She gave me a wink and went in. A blush rose onto my cheeks and I felt warmth on my cheeks. Although it was snowing and freaking cold. I thought about the call from Sage and he sounded sincere and honest. This was the first time that he ever said sorry to me. I wonder what's up.

The Night of The Christmas Party
Sage's P.O.V

My mom told me that Clover will also be coming and I felt happy. I don't why. Maybe because you're in lo--'No I'm not.Don't you dare say it!!'

I fixed my purple tie chosen by my mom and went down to the living room. I could hear Clover and Sean's voices. When I looked up, I thought. Damn...she looks gorgeous. Her black hair was in waves and reached near her waist. She wore a purple dress with a black belt. What seemed wrong were her heels. The right side was green and the left side was red. She wore the Santa claus cap on her head. She wore little make up even though she doesn't need them. "Come on Sage! Take Clover's hand and go to the backyard." My mom shouted from the kitchen."Well...Merry Christmas and aren't you looking beautiful Clover?" I whispered in her ears as I took her hand and lead her to the backyard. She giggled"Merry Christmas and thank you. You look not so bad yourself."

As we went out she went to a group of girls to make "new friends" no doubt. I kept looking at her and could see that she was laughing every 10 minutes. Sean came up to me and said"She looks amazing right?? I hope you guys become a couple. You know that mom purposely chose your tie purple right? She wants you and Clover to become a couple. A Christmas Couple." I just chuckled. He was way up in his fantasies. "Do you like her?" I stopped drinking the wine and looked at Sean. I shook my head and walked towards my group of friends.

Even though I was talking with them, I couldn't get my eyes off Clover.

I don't like her. I thought to myself. I'm desperately falling in love with Clover Rainey.

Clover's P.O.V

I knew that he was looking at me. I could feel eyes boring to my side. When I saw Sean walks towards Sage, I looked at them. Sage looked really handsome and h..hot. Woah woah get a hold of yourself Clover. He's like a big brother to you.

After I saw Sage talking to his friends, I turned back to the group of girls.

Just maybe. I thought. Just maybe....I'm desperately falling in love with Sage Parker.
