Choi Chanhee

Choi Chanhee, a quiet boy, who lived in a small town in California. Has a loving family and is very dedicated to his fathers church. The wildest thing he has done is dye his hair pink which he was surprised when his father allowed him to. He constantly is surrounded by girls trying to get with him but he was never interested in them.

Chanhee, the church boy, was gay.

He knew it was wrong but he couldn't lie to himself. His parents could never know because he was sure they wouldn't approve. In fact, when he brought up homosexuals with his family they said the nastiest things, like when he thought of it today and went downstairs to talk to his family about it.

"Homosexuality is not okay. It is a sin. They are disgusting and deserve to be killed." His father spat getting angry at the thought of gay people.

"Honey calm down. I know they are disgusting but they are also human." His wife tried to calm him down.

"They don't deserve to be treated as humans."

"Go upstairs. Calm down a little bit." She suggested and he went upstairs.

"Chanhee, why are you thinking about that topic? You know your father is like that." Jihyo, his stepmother, sighed.

"I just wanted to know what he thought." Chanhee looked down.

"I know you are gay honey. I may not be your mother but I support you. Your father can not know though. I don't know what he will do to you if he does." Jihyo looked concerned.

"I know. I am going to go upstairs. Please keep this a secret." Chanhee smiled softly before going to his room.

Once his door was closed, he started crying. He was weak for crying but it was the only thing he could do..

He really disliked being attracted to guys but he couldn't help it. He planned on coming out at the end of the year, his senior year, so he would be able to go to college and not deal with his father.

Only a year left before he can leave this hell.

After his well-needed cry session he decided he wanted to get out of the house. Chanhee put on his pastel pink converse and thought about where he could go.

"The park might be crowded since it is summer but it is worth a shot." Chanhee sighed and walked out the front door.
