 PAKOW!

 A bullet barely skimmed Clove's arm and she soon felt blood dripping from it. She immediately dropped  to the ground, hiding beneath the window sill from whoever shot at her.

~~~
 Cato remembered his basic training back in England. "Knees in the breeze" their instructor had called it.
 "Wait this parachute should be opening by now,"he muttered.
 Did he forget to tie it?
 POOM!
 The parachute opened right on cue, pulling upwards between his legs. He suddenly heard a fellow paratroopers scream as one started to fall. A bullet suddenly hit, digging itself into his shin.
Cato yelped in pain but his attention was diverted when another paratrooper goes up in flames.
Was it Marvel? No he didn't have any bombs and neither did Cato.
He suddenly felt a tug at his ankle.
 His heavy equipment was pulling down on him. He had to find something to cut it with before his ankle snapped. He started to twist and turn but felt it brush his fingers as it falls below him.
SNAP!
The knife is soon followed by his only heavy gun. Well he still had his pistol and rifle. Cato soon felt his feet drenched in water. What the hell?
 "Oh god. The Germans have flooded the fields,"he muttered.
Cato stumbled forward, blood seeping through his pant leg, murky water sloshing in his boots. The journey seemed like ages, but suddenly, up ahead, he spotted it.
A small house, shack like even.
 Perhaps he could find shelter there, just long enough to bandage himself. He continued on his way until he finally reached the front door, giving it a small knock.
Inside he heard panicked voices, laced with thick accents.
 "Take Lucy! I'll answer it!"
 "But what if...if it's one of them?"
 "Just go! I'll handle it!"
 "Clove no! I'm older, yo-"
 "Stop that! Now take Lucy or else I am opening this door and they'll see all three of us!"
 There was an angry huff, then the door suddenly creaked open.
"Bonjour?"
 Cato stared down at the small, teenaged girl in front of him. Her long brown hair fell around her face in sheets, and she stared up at him with terrified green eyes. She must be French...why else would she greet the door that way?
 "Ah...Bonjour ... je m'appelle Cato Hadley. Est-il possible que je cherche un refuge ici ... temporairement?"
 The girls eyes widened, in what Cato thought was relief, but he still wasn't quite sure.
 "You're not a German..." She said thoughtfully, changing from French to English.
 "Ah...no."
 She glanced at his shoulder and nodded, beckoning him in.
"Canadian."
 He followed her into the tiny, dark house, when she gasped slightly.
 "You're leg! It is...it is bloody...Come he-"
Suddenly the air was shattered by the sound of gunfire and the young french girl let out a yelp, dropping down to the ground.
Cato followed her example and fell down beside her.
