Mark stared at the huge brown box in front of him, hesitating whether or not he should finally open it and reboot the robot his older brother bought for him so he could "get the help he needed to make his life a whole lot easier."

Mark had no idea what Johnny meant since his life wasn't that hard at all. He lives alone, goes to school, pays for rent, washes his clothes and cooks his food. He was an independent guy. He can't cook much though. He needs help from Johnny, or his friends sometimes.

But he thought, eh, why not. Johnny immediately bought him a "robot." The world's advanced now. Crazy new technology and everything. And apparently, you could buy robots to help you with your daily life. A robot that does this, a robot that does that.

But Johnny.. he bought a robot that could basically do anything. He could even be a good friend and listener. Model HC600. One of the best models yet. Rich Johnny indeed. Mark squinted his eyes at the words written on the box.

Then there was a few numbers at the bottom, followed by the CYBERWAVE CEOS' signatures. Kim Doyoung, Qian Kun, and Nakamoto Yuta.

Well, here goes nothing. Mark gulped, as he carefully took the tape strips off the box. He nervously opened it up and saw a young-looking robot. He looked like he was around Mark's age.

He was.. beautiful. He skin was slightly darker than Mark's. He kind of looked golden actually. He had cute rosy cheeks, and curly silver hair. His beauty was ethereal, if Mark was being honest. He did as the instructions said, pressing the glowing button that was located on the side of the robot's neck.

A long beep was heard before the button glowed brighter. Mark stepped back, quite scared. The bot slowly opened its eyes, revealing his honey-colored eyes, glimmering as Mark stared at him in awe. The bot then looked down and slowly moved his arms and legs to see if he was working smoothly. Then he closed his eyes for a moment to prepare all the startup data.

Mark scratched the back of his neck after regaining his composure, "U-Uh.. Hi-"

"Good Afternoon! I am Model HC600, created by CYBERWAVE CORP. I was designed to help humans like you for a better, easier, and healthier living. May I please know your name?" The robot spoke, smiling brightly at Mark. He was so lively and jolly, he was like the Sun.

"Uh.. Mark Lee." Mark replied. This felt so unreal to him. He was definitely in the future.

"Nice to meet you, Mark Lee," Hyuck brought his hand out for Mark to shake. Mark shook his hand, and weird enough.. the robot's touch felt.. human. He was so advanced, that he looked and felt human. Instead of metal, it was like he had real flesh. His touch was warm too. His cheeks were also red, it was like he actually had blood running inside of him instead of codes and wires.

"How would you like to call me?" The robot asked.

"Oh.. uh.. well like.. do I have options.. or like.. do I have to like.. make one?" Mark responded, feeling confused.

The robot smiled. "The HC in my model name stands for Haechan. You can call me that, but you can also make another name for me."

Mark nodded.

Haechan sounded alright, but he wanted to give him a different name..

"How about.. Daehwi?"

The bot just stared at him.

"Uh.. Donghan?"

Now he was pouting.. cute.

"..Donghyuck?"

Just then, the button on his neck glowed. What does that mean? "Is Donghyuck okay?" Mark asked softly.

"It sounds nice." The robot nodded. "Donghyuck.." He repeated.

Mark chuckled. "I can also call you Hyuck, for short." Donghyuck smiled, seeing that his owner was happy.

"Alright then, I'll be placing the new name in my database." Donghyuck says, at the same time, Johnny enters Mark's unit.

"Hyung!" Mark exclaimed.

"Ey! You opened it. Is it cool? Doyoung gave it to me for free, so." Johnny shrugged, taking a look at Hyuck.

"Oh.. it was free?" Mark turned to him, raising a brow.

"Yeah, sorry I didn't tell you." Johnny answered. "Anyway, how is he?"

"He's really cool. I named him Donghyuck." Mark looked back at Hyuck who was staring back at him. "I have a question though, do they all have the same personality?"

Johnny shook his head. "Their personality will slowly change, depending on the way you treat them. It's as if they're real people."

"Oh." Was the only thing Mark could say, as he watched Hyuck look around to get familiar with his new surroundings. Seems like they were going to have lots of memories together.. and honestly? It's like Mark easily made a connection with him.
