two body's one soul

This person has two separate bodies with one consciousness, whenever they try to sleep, they switch to the other.

pros: more time to collect and experience knowledge, be in two places, extended life, could make their two appearances completely different, 

cons: consciousness never getting a rest, mental disorders, losing track of who they are originally, secret self, secrets, different worlds

original idea comes from errors situation in "mislabeled errors" it's another story that has not been finished, in my opinion could be a really good idea to go off of

When this person thinks of an injury that could happen to them, there body involuntary gave the feeling back (real life mimicry medical diagnosis) but the injury not actually being there? For example, if this person thinks of giving themselves a cut across the inner part of their arm in that very second of wondering the person will suddenly actually feel the wound even if it's not really there

Has anyone ever thought to have a character that always keeps their helmet, hood, mask on? Like there's no way of taking it off or them willingly taking it off and if you try it totally pisses off the character or that no one notices that that character doesn't take it off. Like in general a character that will hide their face no matter what? 

kind of change it up with them having many identities by wearing different outfits and masks, but their main body being a void or something not tangible reason why there always fully covered? or just has this one family member left and uses their other identities to make there surrounding safer: like if they just lost their parents in a war and to make sure that nothing else threatens what's left of their family, they join the war front disguised as their parent while raising their younger sibling rising the rankings fast to the point there one of the main figure heads of some sort under disguise their sibling being safe and comfy. Or the identity can just stay a successful hidden secret......
