Chapter Two - The Causes (Part One).
As you can probably tell from the name of this chapter, I'll be talking about the causes of writer's block and I'll tell you how to avoid them. The real reason why your mind is stuck. And there are so many causes to writer's block so I'll break down the common ones in points:
1. Self-doubt: Self-doubt is one of the biggest reasons why so many of us get writer's block. We judge our work and that is such a wrong thing to do because it's the main reason why we quit a book or can't write anymore.
"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." – Sylvia Plath
Never forget that quote because it's a constant reminder that self-doubt is ruining your creativity. It is the enemy. Don't ever let your mind take over you. Do not judge your yourself. Do not judge your work.
2. Stress: Stress is also a major reason behind writer's block. Any family issues or school pressure or whatever reason that is causing you stress could also stop your flow of imagination and creativity for writing.
If you're stressed out for whatever reason, give your self a break. A hiatus (a pause or break in continuity in a sequence or activity). You'll need it.
Sometimes you just need to stop writing and relax. When you're done with all that stress, you're mind will explode with ideas and hopefully you'll be back on track.
3. Depression: Sometimes some of us go through times in our lives where we feel sad; depressed. And that's like a block placed in front of the train which keeps us from moving.
Similarly, when you're depressed for a certain reason, you just can't write. Your mind is focused on other people or things and just like with stress, you need a break in this case.

So those were some of the causes of writer's block and as you can see this is part one which means there will be another chapter discussing the causes of writer's block.
