This is a compilation of my English lyrics and adaptations of iconic hits from some of the most successful European musicals, mostly from Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon's Starmania (1978); Jim Steinmann and Michael Kunze's Tanz der Vampire (1996); Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze's Rebecca (2004), and more.

I'd like to say I have a lofty reason for compiling my lyrics here-thematic similarities across musicals, contemporary resonances and parallels to real life-but honestly I just wanted a place to dump my other lyrics for shows I have otherwise no place for, ha. I've already translated and adapted the entirety of Roméo et Juliette (some of the Hungarian-only versions of the songs will appear here) and Notre Dame de Paris, as well as some highlights from Elisabeth: these are all available in my profile. Though I will be following a rough thematic organization, there is no real narrative, so feel free to skip around as you please.

If you wish to sing my lyrics by any chance, feel free to use them with credit, i.e. a link to this book or my profile @madnessmostdiscreet and/or my blog at cto10121.tumblr.com. I also take song requests, so feel free to shoot me a message if you want me to do your favorite song. I should be able to complete all requests provided that I have an English translation of the original song.

Song lyrics are beneath the character names in bold. Dialogue is rendered both bold and italicized with a colon. I also added videos of the performances and context for the songs at the beginning.

Otherwise, enjoy these glittering hellscapes of love, tragedy, and pop-rock opera scores with no zero chill, and remember to vote for your favorites! You're in Verona. Come back to Manderley. The vampires invite you to dance.
