Chapter 24: Interview

"You're asking why?" Xiao Zhan asked back, his eyes glimmer furiously. "Aren't you the one who leave first?" he said with trembling voice. "You're the one who make things over and you're asking me why?"

"Eh? I thought you understand why I need to leave that time. You said it's okay... you said it's fine if I go."

Xiao Zhan sighed "True, I guess it's my mistake but it's too late... it's too late. We can't go back to how we are before."

Yibo woke up from his sleep. It's been a while since he dreamt about Xiao Zhan so it was a shocked to him to see him again and hear him say those words again. Remembering what happened to their last meeting was painful even years have passed. That's the moment that everything was officially over for them, the relationship and the person he cherishes for years has finally gone. It was hard to accept that truth, that long-distance relationship will not last and it will not pursue. Many people already said the truth but he refuses to believe, thinking that the strong bonds that they have for each other will connect them together despite not seeing personally but he was wrong. The far distance also made their feelings far from each other that it was hard to understand anymore.

It's hard to accept the fact that love diminishes with distance.

Yibo eat the breakfast that Zhui Li prepared for them. He woke up with a bad dream so he also loss his appetite.

"Yibo, are you sick?" Zhui Li asked. "Yo... you don't have appetite?"

"Yibo-ge is working all night." Fanxing said.

"Yibo, don't you think you need a rest?" Zhui Li suggested. "Since we came back here, you're always working in your business."

"It's not like that. I have time to rest so you don't need to worry about me." Yibo replied gleefully. "By the way mom, you're schedule for check-up is today right? Do you want me to come with you?" he changed the topic instantly because he didn't want them to see him bothered by something.

Zhui Li shake her head "I can go on my own. I will go there after submitting something in the office." She replied. "Also, I will meet some friends afterwards so I will be late." She continued. "You don't need to worry about me, I'm doing well. Your mother is healthy and living her life to the fullest so my sons should also do the same thing, understand?"

The three of them continued to eat their breakfast and after that Fanxing need to go to school and Yibo go to Sanctuary. Fanxing ride his bicycle while Yibo drive his car and before they part ways, Fanxing reminded Yibo again about Guo Cheng's application and he should inform him immediately of the result.

Cheng can't help feeling annoyed every time he saw his headphone broken. He saved money to buy it and now it's damage beyond repair and everything was that transferee's fault. Two times that he encountered him and everything was a mess. First, he was knocked down unconscious and second, he's precious headphone was broken because of him. He asked Milky and Choco to know about the transferee and they just found out that he is the son of a famous novelist (which he never knew since he's not fond of reading books) and he is a beta male. He wanted to know what is that small guy wanted from him that he acted like a stalker. He's suspecting that he was a spy from Gura's group who wanted to get close to him so that he can monitor every inch of his movements and plans.

"Geez, I have to time to think about that small bean. I have an interview later." Cheng told himself. "I need to concentrate for later." He mumbled to himself and while concentrating, Milky and Choco came inside the classroom and sit down in front of him. "What?"

"Boss, we saw that beta guy." Choco replied to him.

"I don't care about that guy." Cheng replied. "Don't talk about him in front of me."
