i woke up the morning in the best mood ever, today was me and my boyfriends one year anniversary. i got up and put on a really cute outfit before heading to school.
{lunch time}
i walked into the lunch room and looked around for my boyfriend. i saw him talking to him friends and i decided to walk over to them.
"heyyy babe" i said hugging him.
"hey hold on give me one second" he said giving me a side hug and turning his back to me to talk to his friends. that was kind of rude.
when he was finally done talking to his friends he turned back to me and kissed my lips, "hey sorry" he said.
"it's okay, so what do you want to do today" i asked.
"um i have plans with alejandro after school but maybe we could hang at my place later on tonight, and if not we could just hang out tomorrow" he said. there is no way he actually forgot about our anniversary.
"uh yea that's fine i guess" i replied.
"you look so good today babe, for what?" he questioned. he actually forgot.
"oh nothing, just woke up in a good mood i guess" i replied with a long face. he didn't even realize that i was upset, "lunch?" i asked.
"nah i already ate. besides i have extra help right now i'll catch up with you later tho okay?" he said kissing my forehead.
"okay" i said choking back me tears before he walked away. i sat down at a lunch table and buried my face into my hands when i felt someone tap my shoulder.
"you okay y/n?" i looked up and was faced with me and mattias friend, kairi.
"yea i'm good" i replied holding back everything i was feeling.
"no no you look really upset" he said sitting down.
"well at least someone noticed" i said looking down.
"talk to me" he said.
"i think mattia forgot our anniversary" i spit out.
he looked shocked, "no way" he said in disbelief.
"way, i mean i'm pretty sure at least. i saw him and he didn't say anything. and he made plans with alejandro after school" i said with a tear rolling down my face.
"ok don't cry" he quickly wiped the tear away, "your makeup looks good don't mess it up. we can hang out after school, he'll realize it eventually. he's mattia he's slow, he'll figure it out soon" kai said.
"ugh okay, my house?" i questioned.
"whatever's cool with you" he said, "meet me in the parking lot after school, i gotta head to class stay strong okay?" he said hugging me.
"okay, thanks kai. see you then" i said hugging him back.
"of course y/n it's what friends are for, see you" he said walking away.
i cant believe this is happening right now.
{hours later}
me and kairi have been at my house hanging out for a while, not even a single call or text from mattia. i just can't wrap my head around the fact that he could forget our one year.
"how bout we go get some ice cream?" kairi said snapping me out of my thoughts.
"ugh i'm too sad for ice cream" i said.
"pftt, ice cream is the perfect sad food, we could go to the lake to eat it, let's go it'll be a fun distraction" kairi said pulling my arm.
"ugh ok ok fine" i gave in.
