Chapter 5- The Date

When the water ran cold she decided to unplugthe tub and get dried off. She thenrealized she had no idea where they were going so she sent a quick text to Lukeasking where they were going so she knew how to dress, he responded withinminutes saying she can dress in whatever she wants to. With that in mind shewent for a cute but casual look she put on a dark jean with an off the shoulderred blouse, black combat boots and a light black sweater just in case she gotcold. She did her make up a little darker than normal with a black and redsmokey eye and a light gloss. By the time she got on her normal jewelry on andher purse ready Luke was knocking on the door. " Wow and here I thought youcould not get any more beautiful, I was mistaken you look amazing like a trueLuna, gorgeous and sweet but badass when she needs to be" Nova couldn't helpbut laugh at his response they both said bye to Gage And left for their perfectevening. Luke had talked to Elena and Lina about the perfect nature place totake her and they suggested the wooded areas near the coast because about amile from the coast is natural pond and waterfall and it is truly a sight. Lukehad the girls decorate the area with some light strands and roses for theperfect picnic under the stars. Luke led Nova to his car and opened the doorfor her. Once they were seated he began driving to their date destination. Theysat, hands intertwined, with a comforting silence growing between them, as theyreached the forest edge Nova began to feel a bit uneasy of their location butknew in her heart she was safe as long as she was with Luke, and once they gotto their destination she would ask the questions that have been eating at hersince she found out they were mates. Luke parked the car on the side of theroad and got out making his way around the front of the car to Nova's sideopening the door and taking her hand Luke lead Nova to the trunk where heretrieved a picnic basket then began heading into the wood. After about 20minutes of walking Nova was confused as to why they were walking so far intothe forest but then she saw twinkling lights not too far in front of her shelooked at Luke with a puzzling look. He just smiled and continued to walk. Thewaterfall and pond are hidden from view by bushes and heavy trees so Novacouldn't see the full scene until they crossed the threshold into the clearing. Once they crossed into the clearing Novalet go of Luke's hand and stood in awe of her surroundings, there was abeautiful waterfall surrounded by a shimmering pond with rose petals floatingin it; twinkling lights around the pond and around a red and white picnicblanket next to the water with that had rose petals scattered everywhere andtwo pillows Nova smiled " Luke this is beautiful" Luke grabbed her hand and kissed it " I amglad you like it mon amour ( My love)" He then guided her to one of the pillows and then took the other. Novadecided it was time to get serious, "Luke I have some questions about us beingmates" Luke smiled "It would be strange if you didn't I will answer anythingand everything" nova then began asking "What does us being mates entail like isthere any special process and such. What I write in my books was they find outthey are mates, simply human wedding, start a family, happily ever after. Andwhat does the Luna do for the pack?" Luke contemplated the right words to say."Well for starters we can have a human wedding if you want but it does not bindus as mates. The mating process is two steps, First is you bear my mark on yourneck, my bite mark it will fade in time but it mixes our scents together so anyother wolves near you know you are mine, Second is consummation." He paused tolet her come to terms with that Nova understood why she needed to be marked,"Will it hurt to be bitten?" "from what I have heard it's not painful butpleasurable he leaned in and kissed the sweet spot on her neck "This is whereit will be" she tilted her head exposing her neck as he continues to kiss hersweet spot. " Luke, please, I can't focus" he laughed but stopped his assaulton her neck, "Being a Luna is the highest female honor in a pack while Alpha isthe highest male honor. The Luna is like the mother of the pack she is thefierce protector and the Luna assists me in a lot of pack business as well."Nova felt proud to be honored with this title. "Wait, Luke how can I be afierce protector if I am human?" Lukegot quiet extremely fast and couldn't even look Nova in the eyes. "About that Novaas soon as the mating process in finished you will be transformed into a wolfand you will probably be opposite of me besides height. Considering you are aLuna you will be the same height as the Alpha wolf which is me but will be adifferent color". Nova looked shocked she was going to be a wolf, that isinsane but she couldn't show her fear but curiosity strikes. "Can I see yourwolf? I want to know the other half of you, does he have a name?" Luke wassurprised by her questions "His name is Storm and of course you can see him, hehas been bouncing around in my head wanting to mark you. One thing is for sureI cannot fully control him in my wolf form so I am going to shift but only fora few minutes then I need to take back control for your safety I do not want tomark you without your permission. "Itrust you Luke" Luke smiled and began to shift; he purposely slowed his shiftso she could see it all. The first thing Nova noticed was his eyes his blueeyes began to glow and a golden swirl appeared around his pupils and then sheknew this was no longer Luke this was Storm. Then she noticed his hands turn toclaws and Luke's body morph into a large vantablack wolf with the piercing blueand gold swirled eyes, if it wasn't for his eyes you wouldn't be able to seehim in the cover of night. Nova approached Storm slowly and took the sight ofhim in even though Storm was a wolf he was the size of a bear Nova ran her handthrough his soft fur "You are beautiful Storm, truly magnificent" Stormshivered under his mates touch he wanted nothing more than to mark her righthere, right now but he was on the surface when Luke said he didn't want to marktheir mate without her permission so he was going to abide by his other halveswishes. Storm nuzzled into Nova's side, Nova smiled and pet his head, "Stormcan you let Luke have control back I need to talk to him" Storm bowed his headand retreated back so Luke could take over He shifted faster than before and itshocked Nova with how fast it happened. Nova smiled when she realized she wasface to face with a shirtless Luke. "Storm,well you are a beautiful wolf" Nova said softly. Luke smiled as bright as thestars above them. "let us enjoy our picnic." They both went and sat down thenLuke began to take out their dinner there were strawberries cut into roses onskewers, little turkey club sandwiches, a small variety of Macaroons, Chilledstrawberry wine, some heart shaped cantaloupe and honey dew melon, and somepopping rock candy. Nova smiled at thecheesiness of their meal and how the strawberries and fruit were cut, it wassuch a romantic gesture that she did not expect so soon from her boyfriend/mate but she was happy that she meant this much to him. "Luke all of this looksamazing" He smiled and picked up to of the strawberry roses "For you my moncompagnon (my Mate)" Nova blushed and took the strawberries "what does thatmean? Is it French?" Luke responded "Yes it is French and it means my Mate"Nova blushed and leaned in and kissed Luke gently. They continues to talk aboutthe little things just getting to know each other as they were eating once theyfinished eating all of the food and drank over half of the bottle of wine Novadecided she wanted to go swimming but she didn't have her swimsuit. Then a verynaughty thought came to devious yet innocent mind she was going to swim in herbra and thong with her mate. "Luke! Race ya into the water" she got up andstarted running towards the water stripping off her layers of clothing sheturned back around to see Luke's face you could tell he was shocked by heractions. Luke was staring at his mate when she got the insane notion to goswimming he was puzzled for a minute when she challenged him and then took offtowards the water but what really shocked him and made every part of his bodystand at attention was when she started shedding her clothing then she stoppedto look back at him when she reached the water he could see her amazing figureand began stalking up towards her taking in every inch of her body her palewhite skin almost glowed in the moonlight and he noticed she had a tattoo onthe back of her shoulder blade of a wilted rose that was leaking blood from themiddle of the flower. "Do you really want to do this Nova?" Nova smiled andstepped into the water holding out her hand to Luke who had stripped down tohis underwear he held her hand as they submerged themselves in the water Lukeswam around Nova making her giggle but he had another thing in mind he had hiseye on his prey and the predator in him was going into a heated frenzy seeinghis mate like this. He stopped and looked into her eyes and pulled her in for apassionate yet dominating kiss and she melted into his kiss. When they pulledback for air Nova looked into his eyes and her eyes went wide when she saw hiseyes glowed and she could see the gold swirling, Storm was surfacing she placedher hand on their face " Is there a way for both of you to surface and not justone at a time?" Luke kissed her "I have never tried but I know one thing youhave not taken me on fully love, you cannot handle storm and you definitelycannot handle the both of us if it is possible I can ask my dad and see if heknows." They continued to swim aroundand goof around for a while until their hands began to prune so they decided toget out and head back home. As they collected their clothes and headed back tothe car Luke opened the door for her and they got in as well they were still injust their undergarments Luke reached into the back seat and grabbed one of hisone work shirt and joggers he gave the shirt to Nova and slid his joggers on.He then turned to Nova "So my love do you want to go back to the dorm or do youwant to get a hotel room and relax just the two of us?" Nova was surprised byhis question but she did not want this date to be over. "Luke we don't haveclothes and we definitely can't walk into a hotel half dressed." Lukecontemplated her statement "Well let me call Gage get him to pack some clothesfor us and meet us outside the dorm and then we can go and enjoy the rest ofour night that is if you want to" as Luke said the last part her saw the desirein her eyes he knew she did not want this night to end she smiled at him andthat was his answer he quickly texted Gage and began their journey back tocampus to pick up some clothes. The drive was relaxing and peaceful there was acomfortable silence between them once they reached the campus Gage gave themthe bags and with a smirk to Luke he left and they went to their hotel room forthe night.
